“Best chinese takeout around!Been coming here since I was a little kid (over 25 years). Food is good, portions are big. Your beef or chicken with broccoli actually comes with sizable amounts of beef/chicken. Other places just load up on broccoli to keep their profits. You can't go wrong!“

Insanely enough, we’ve even tried the Italian (yes, I said Italian) food on the menu and that was pretty good as well! It’s a crazy combo, but it works. Their hot and sour soup, is def one of the better ones I’ve had. All the their dishes are loaded with ingredients. The portions are not skimpy, prices are very reasonable for what you get. “A calm and pleasant spot for lunch.

I came during the afternoon and the place was quiet.
The staff was very friendly and even asked how the meal was at the end.
Note: It’s self-service.

Food: The hand-pulled noodles and broth were fresh and excellent.
The fried side dish was crispy and flavorful.
Drink: The iced black tea with mango was light and very refreshing.
Tip: As you can see in the video - the portions are very generous.
I recommend ordering a small size because I couldn’t finish it.

Seating: I sat by the window facing the street. It was nice to eat and watch Broadway at the same time.
There’s also an inner bar table closer to the kitchen.
The place is clean and the surrounding area feels calm and safe.

Price: Very affordable and filling.
This was my first time trying authentic Chinese food and I was pleasantly surprised.
Highly recommend and worth saving for a real local meal.“

The staff were very helpful and the chef was able to replace the regular soy sauce with gluten free spicy soy sauce in many of the dishes. “We were staying at the Tarrytown house estate and decided to visit Goosefeather for dinner, not having any idea about the restaurant other than that it was located on-site. As Chinese-style martial artists, we were pleasantly surprised to see the Cantonese -fusion menu options as we walked in. Unfortunately, we did not have reservations, but we were able to sit at the bar. What an auspicious turn of luck! The bar offers not only the full menu, but the chance to watch professionals at their craft. We were taken care of by Mariana and Sara, who were busy yet still highly attentive. They were very knowledgeable about the menu, and explained everything even before our questions had a habce to leave our lips. We started with some standard drinks (a spicy martini, and one of their mocktails with Ron Zacapa rum added in). Solid pours, balancing the flavors of the drinks with adequate alcohol to keep things fun). Next week ordered the spicy rice cakes and the potstickers. Each was perfectly done. The potstickers were crispy but not burnt, and paired with a just-right spicy Chinese mustard. There were four per serving, which served to whet out appetites while leaving us waiting for more. Next, we got the spicy rice cakes. These were just hot enough to let the tongue know, but the spice built pleasantly. The plate was pretty big, and the two of us had more than one or two helpings each. Finally, we had the Crying Tiger Tuna. The lightly seared and seasoned tuna was paired with avocado salad, pickled gooseberries, and sweet goji berries. Delicious! To cap it off, we switched up our drinks for two of their signature cocktails. Sweet emotion is a pumpkin espresso martini with a smoky bubble of deliciousness in top. Love in an Elevator is a wild rum ride of flavors I'd never think to blend, such as apricot, chocolate, and lemon. Overall, while pricey, the experience, the food, and the atmosphere made it worth it! As a bonus, we were watched over by a really cool portrait of Bruce Lee!“

“Went to Moon Kee This past Friday. (8/21/26) I had the Garlic Shrimp and Scallops, Shrimp Rice Roll and some dumplings. The food was prepared well; and the portion sizes were generous. Flavor was decent.

My partner and I arrived at 9:40PM. When they say they close at 10:00PM, they really mean they close at 10. The service definitely suffered based on that and the food probably does too, considering that we were told it was too late to order certain items. If you want to eat there, I suggest getting there earlier, and you'll likely have a better experience than I did. I definitely plan to try them again at an earlier hour because I feel like it may be better than what I had.“

“Visited New Jersey for the weekend, and this was one of the top restaurant recommendations from locals. It absolutely lived up to the hype.

Everything we ordered was delicious, but one of my favorites—unfortunately I forgot to take a picture—was the mixed vegetables. They tasted incredibly fresh with a subtle balance of sweetness and tangy citrus. It was the perfect palate cleanser and made me want to keep eating more skewers 😆

I did the AYCE lunch dine-in and left with basically enough food that I was full until the next day. Selection is broad enough for the price, and this includes fountain soda and ice cream as well.

The pu pu platter was delicious, my favorite was either the shrimp toast or Hawaii beef. For the main course we got the lobster soma and lychee pineapple duck, the lobster comes in this tasty slightly spicy brown sauce and the duck was sweet but not overwhelming, the meat was tender and plentiful. “We are seriously SO impressed with Essex Chinese Kitchen. The food is amazing — everything tasted incredibly fresh, flavorful, and high quality. And on top of that, the prices are very reasonable for the portions you get.

We ordered the bubble teas (brown sugar milk tea and original milk tea), and they were SO good — perfectly balanced with that floral black tea flavor coming through. Not overly sweet, just smooth and refreshing.

I got the golden fried brown shrimp with fried rice and it was FIRE. Crispy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. My boyfriend ordered the chicken and broccoli, and they absolutely do NOT skimp on portions. The serving sizes were generous and so satisfying.
