“You know the food is gonna be a bomb when you see owners letting their kids around lol. It’s actually very common in Asian countries. When you see the owner of the kids around, even helping to the staff, you know you’re in the right place.

Staff might be trained as there is no napkins and chopsticks around sometimes, as some people are really picky when it comes to the service. However I don’t really care as long as staff is nice towards you and food is good so no complaint“

“Since moving into this area, this has been our go to Chinese place. I never feel tired or sick after I eat from their menu. Everything tastes more fresh and healthier than most places we've tried. The portions are always just right and the order is always correct. The woman at the counter has always made sure we were happy with our order before leaving. Looking forward to trying new things off the menu.“

While the cuisine is much different, the sheer delight of it reminded me of my first time years ago at Charlie Trotter's. “We had such a great meal at Pig Heaven! The BBQ spare ribs were so tender, flavorful, and perfectly glazed. We also really enjoyed the soup dumplings, Peking duck, Sesame chicken, noodles, and Mapo tofu. Everything came in generous portions and was great for sharing. The staff was friendly and welcoming too. Definitely a great Chinese spot on the Upper East Side. We’d love to come back!“

“I'm celiac so we asked about gluten free options when ordering. The staff were very helpful and the chef was able to replace the regular soy sauce with gluten free spicy soy sauce in many of the dishes. So we were able to order most of what we wanted from the menu. I'm writing this the next day and I feel fine. 10/10 service! The food was delicious! Will definitely be back.“

“I stopped in here yesterday for lunch and it was without a doubt top 5 foods I’ve ever eaten, both inside and outside the U.S. The malatang hot pot broth was so savory and umami I couldn’t believe how good it was. Medium spice level was just a tad too much for me and I handle spice pretty well (should have listened to the girl at the front counter…). Cant wait to go back and try the other hot and dry pots.“

“The crab roe noodles were pretty overrated for me. They barely had any flavor, so I’d give them a 3/10.

The crab roe xiao long bao, though, was SO good—definitely one of the highlights. The fish was also really good and super tender. Unfortunately, the moon cake crab pastry was way too salty for me.

Overall, a bit hit or miss, but I’d definitely come back for the crab roe xiao long bao!“

“Waited an eternity to get in - almost 2 hrs. We got our names down for an hour later, came back at that time, and then had to wait down in the lower level all over again before finally getting a table. The food itself was just okay, nothing too bad or too good based on what we ordered (steamed dumplings, spicy noodles, and chicken fried rice). Overall, the wait is definitely not worth the food.“

“The food was so interesting and totally fresh. The largest shrimp I have ever seen. The soup was just the right amount of spice and good vegetables with tofu. I loved the steamed vegetable dumplings, almost like a dim sum sum bun but moister. Our server Lu was very friendly and efficient!“

“Little disappointed at this place. Saw they had Crispy Beef with Fresh Honey Walnuts Beef with a bed of steamed broccoli in a sweet brown sauce topped with sugared walnuts. Not crispy as from can see in pic. Was this really beef also? Walnuts were plain as well.Steamed Spinach Dumplings were a bit dry . Hunan Dumplings Spinach and beef dumplings topped with spicy peanut sauce. Spicy. I got not spicy but were very good. Would I try again. Yes think I would.“

“Great food and great service. The food reminds me of home and is reasonably priced. We keep coming back for the ox tail stew, ribs, beef steak, porkchops, dumplings and the boneless chicharonnes de pollo. Most meals are served with white or yellow rice and beans or vegetables. If you want to try something different, they have the beef liver and squid ink fried rice which remind me of squid ink Paella. The combination meals are a great option to try out different dishes. The staff and owners always greet you with a warm welcome.“

“Went to Moon Kee This past Friday. (8/21/26) I had the Garlic Shrimp and Scallops, Shrimp Rice Roll and some dumplings. The food was prepared well; and the portion sizes were generous. Flavor was decent.

My partner and I arrived at 9:40PM. When they say they close at 10:00PM, they really mean they close at 10. The service definitely suffered based on that and the food probably does too, considering that we were told it was too late to order certain items. If you want to eat there, I suggest getting there earlier, and you'll likely have a better experience than I did. I definitely plan to try them again at an earlier hour because I feel like it may be better than what I had.“

“First time here yesterday and the food is great! I love all the selections and there’s great vegetarian options. Their egg fried rice was super fluffy and soft, worth the try! I got about 1.5 lbs of dry pot at 0.5 spicy and it was too spicy for me. I also think the saltiness can be reduced. Service was quick and restaurant is clean.

Mid interior. Staff are helpful and completely on bothered by hoopla over their yummy food. Chow mein and beef with scallions also memorable. Kid friendly.“

“Visited New Jersey for the weekend, and this was one of the top restaurant recommendations from locals. It absolutely lived up to the hype.

Everything we ordered was delicious, but one of my favorites—unfortunately I forgot to take a picture—was the mixed vegetables. They tasted incredibly fresh with a subtle balance of sweetness and tangy citrus. It was the perfect palate cleanser and made me want to keep eating more skewers 😆
