“I’ve been ordering Chinese food here over the last year+ with no complaints! Everything has been delicious, fresh and staff is always kind. One time, my order was mixed up and I didn’t realize until I got home, they went above and beyond to make it right which was very much appreciated.

Tonight, I decided I’d give their sushi a try.. well, it’s all gone now but it was delicious !“

“First time here yesterday and the food is great! I love all the selections and there’s great vegetarian options. Their egg fried rice was super fluffy and soft, worth the try! I got about 1.5 lbs of dry pot at 0.5 spicy and it was too spicy for me. I also think the saltiness can be reduced. Service was quick and restaurant is clean.

“Little disappointed at this place. Saw they had Crispy Beef with Fresh Honey Walnuts Beef with a bed of steamed broccoli in a sweet brown sauce topped with sugared walnuts. Not crispy as from can see in pic. Was this really beef also? Walnuts were plain as well.Steamed Spinach Dumplings were a bit dry . Hunan Dumplings Spinach and beef dumplings topped with spicy peanut sauce. Spicy. I got not spicy but were very good. Would I try again. Yes think I would.“

“Have taken out quite a few orders from this small local place, and I have to say; it’s better than any place else in the area. Insanely enough, we’ve even tried the Italian (yes, I said Italian) food on the menu and that was pretty good as well! It’s a crazy combo, but it works. Their hot and sour soup, is def one of the better ones I’ve had. All the their dishes are loaded with ingredients. The portions are not skimpy, prices are very reasonable for what you get. All ready when they tell you it will be, and given to you without any “attitude”. Give them a try….i doubt you’ll be disappointed.“

“Visited New Jersey for the weekend, and this was one of the top restaurant recommendations from locals. It absolutely lived up to the hype.

Everything we ordered was delicious, but one of my favorites—unfortunately I forgot to take a picture—was the mixed vegetables. They tasted incredibly fresh with a subtle balance of sweetness and tangy citrus. It was the perfect palate cleanser and made me want to keep eating more skewers 😆

“Honestly, this place ruined Chinese food for me anywhere else. The food is consistently insane. The boneless spare rib tips are hands down the best I’ve ever. The dumplings are incredible, and their Hot & Sour soup is on another level. I’ve tried countless Chinese spots over the years and nothing comes close to this place.

What really separates them is they don’t cheap out. They’re generous with the sauces, portions, and noodles — which is rare now. You can tell they actually care about the food and the customer experience instead of cutting corners like most places do. If you know good Chinese food, this spot is elite.“

“This place is a gem! My husband has been coming here since he’s been a kid. We were in the area and decided to stop in and eat. They were very pleasant and friendly on the phone when I called to place the order. The owner immediately recognized my husband once we arrived and was very welcoming. The place was very clean and the food was fresh and delicious. We will definitely be coming back here when we are in the area. Very happy this place hasn’t lost its touch over the years.“

I had found one takeout place in Mendham that has done really well for years and when I work in that area I order it. On a whim I asked them how theirs was and said I would let her know. I stopped eating just to write how much I love this spot. I order almost once a week. The food never disappoints and I believe they truly deserve 5 stars. They have wonderful customer service, always pleasant when I call, speedy delivery, and quality food (and packaging) There is no other chinese food in bergen country i’ve found that I can say has all of these qualities about them. Tonight I ordered sweet and sour chicken with chicken lo mein. The lo mein is so good I would give it a 9/10. The sweet and sour chicken is my favorite. 10/10. Highly recommend if you want quick delivery and great chinese food.“

“We are seriously SO impressed with Essex Chinese Kitchen. The food is amazing — everything tasted incredibly fresh, flavorful, and high quality. And on top of that, the prices are very reasonable for the portions you get.

We ordered the bubble teas (brown sugar milk tea and original milk tea), and they were SO good — perfectly balanced with that floral black tea flavor coming through. Not overly sweet, just smooth and refreshing.

I got the golden fried brown shrimp with fried rice and it was FIRE. Crispy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. My boyfriend ordered the chicken and broccoli, and they absolutely do NOT skimp on portions. The serving sizes were generous and so satisfying.

The staff were also super friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better.

“I have just about tried every place and near my town of Rutherford. And every place IS HORRIBLE and gets delivered Lukewarm-cold and we are in town. But China Moon is a couple towns away and the food is always HOT & Fresh!!! Best Chinese food in the AREA!!“

“It's Chinese takeout. There's a video of a guy that went to multiple different stores, and they all had the same thing: a lit up board with food photos, emotionless or sad looking owner behind the counter, and an ATM. I don't recall if this place had the ATM, but it certainly had the other two. I think the ATM guy is missing out.

The food is consistent with every other Chinese food place; it doesn't stand out either way negatively or positively. Know this, some places make this food wrong; it can either be the flavor (too acidic), the smell, or the bite factor. This places passes all of that; it is what you should expect from decent Chinese takeout.

If anything, the fact that some people had issues with toughness... It just means they velveted their food less, which is a good thing. Velveting is cheating and just adds moisture to the food; it's still the same lousy cut. At least now you get better volume and less water.

Anyway, make the man less sad by giving him more customers. This might be the last generation of Chinese takeout that's affordable before all of them retire and we have to get our fix at Sugar Chicken... I mean Panda Express.“

“I love Great Wall. I’ve been eating here since I was a kid, all throughout college, and still today! They’re so patient & kind. My order is always ready within 10 minutes, always hot & fresh. Large portions for a great price. It’s easy to order from the restaurant’s website. I recommend scallion pancakes, cold sesame noodles, and the soups. “Fairlawn's Hunan Wok is a fantastic restaurant. I've been going there for approximately 15 years, and I still really like the meal. Although their cuisine isn't as greasy as that of some Chinese restaurants, I would argue that their pricing are a little expensive! Anyone in the neighborhood searching for delicious Cantonese cuisine should definitely check it out, in my opinion. The proprietors are welcoming and will always make you feel welcome.“

“The food at this Chinese restaurant is super good. I recently moved to Fairfield and needed to find a good spot for Chinese takeout out. So, I tried joy wok. I ordered sesame chicken combo and the Mongolian beef. They were both super good. I don’t normally like my sesame chicken a little spicy and they made it just right for me.
The customer service is also great. I had accidentally ordered white rice with the Mongolian beef and when I picked up my order they switched it to fried rice right away with no extra charge. Everyone there is super nice. Definitely recommend if you are in the area in search of a good Chinese spot.“
