“Little disappointed at this place. Saw they had Crispy Beef with Fresh Honey Walnuts Beef with a bed of steamed broccoli in a sweet brown sauce topped with sugared walnuts. Not crispy as from can see in pic. Was this really beef also? Walnuts were plain as well.Steamed Spinach Dumplings were a bit dry . Hunan Dumplings Spinach and beef dumplings topped with spicy peanut sauce. Spicy. I got not spicy but were very good. Would I try again. Yes think I would.“

“Best chinese takeout around!Been coming here since I was a little kid (over 25 years). Food is good, portions are big. Your beef or chicken with broccoli actually comes with sizable amounts of beef/chicken. Other places just load up on broccoli to keep their profits. You can't go wrong!“

Everything we ordered was delicious, but one of my favorites—unfortunately I forgot to take a picture—was the mixed vegetables. They tasted incredibly fresh with a subtle balance of sweetness and tangy citrus. It was the perfect palate cleanser and made me want to keep eating more skewers 😆

Although their cuisine isn't as greasy as that of some Chinese restaurants, I would argue that their pricing are a little expensive! “We ordered from kosher express for a party of 20 for Labor Day. The food was delivered freshly cooked and hot. The packaging was so good that nothing seeped out to ruin the presentation. People kept going back for seconds and thirds - that’s how good it was. So I will not hesitate to use them again or even to order a small dinner for myself.“

“We are seriously SO impressed with Essex Chinese Kitchen. The food is amazing — everything tasted incredibly fresh, flavorful, and high quality. And on top of that, the prices are very reasonable for the portions you get.

We ordered the bubble teas (brown sugar milk tea and original milk tea), and they were SO good — perfectly balanced with that floral black tea flavor coming through. Not overly sweet, just smooth and refreshing.

I got the golden fried brown shrimp with fried rice and it was FIRE. Crispy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. My boyfriend ordered the chicken and broccoli, and they absolutely do NOT skimp on portions. The serving sizes were generous and so satisfying.

The staff were also super friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better.

I had found one takeout place in Mendham that has done really well for years and when I work in that area I order it. On a whim I asked them how theirs was and said I would let her know. It was amazing. Along with the rest of the food. The egg rolls are crispy and not a drop of grease. Outstanding Chinese takeout. Keep up the good work.“

I stopped eating just to write how much I love this spot. I order almost once a week. The food never disappoints and I believe they truly deserve 5 stars. They have wonderful customer service, always pleasant when I call, speedy delivery, and quality food (and packaging) There is no other chinese food in bergen country i’ve found that I can say has all of these qualities about them. Tonight I ordered sweet and sour chicken with chicken lo mein. The lo mein is so good I would give it a 9/10. The sweet and sour chicken is my favorite. 10/10. Highly recommend if you want quick delivery and great chinese food.“

“It's Chinese takeout. There's a video of a guy that went to multiple different stores, and they all had the same thing: a lit up board with food photos, emotionless or sad looking owner behind the counter, and an ATM. I don't recall if this place had the ATM, but it certainly had the other two. I think the ATM guy is missing out.

The food is consistent with every other Chinese food place; it doesn't stand out either way negatively or positively. Know this, some places make this food wrong; it can either be the flavor (too acidic), the smell, or the bite factor. This places passes all of that; it is what you should expect from decent Chinese takeout.

If anything, the fact that some people had issues with toughness... It just means they velveted their food less, which is a good thing. Velveting is cheating and just adds moisture to the food; it's still the same lousy cut. At least now you get better volume and less water.

Anyway, make the man less sad by giving him more customers. This might be the last generation of Chinese takeout that's affordable before all of them retire and we have to get our fix at Sugar Chicken... I mean Panda Express.“

“The Jersey City location of Wonder, has me in a chokehold. Karian made the entire atmosphere so welcoming, that from my experience working in food hospitality, her shod is the best shift. They communicated effectively and efficiently. They had fun while pushing out orders. I almost want to jump back there and help out just so I could feel like I was a part of the team and not a guest. Karian and BoH went above and beyond for my order, answering every question I had and even provided me tips on which is form of ordering is better. I love this place and the staff. Definitely recommend coming here often. LIME SALT is definitely giving chipotle a run for their money fresher ingredients, better flavors and, and portion sizes is already included in the ordering format. There is no denial of asking for more portions even if the ceo says that staff will do it upon request but your request gets denied. Burritos from lime salt comes in the og size of a chipotle burrito circa 2008. My salad came so full I wasn’t able to finish in one setting. Lime salt is better, chipotle never you heard!!! Thank y’all at Wonder for the love!!! Oh and if y’all who are reading this. Wonder is a Food hall with multiple restaurants underneath one roof they sell all types of foods, and desserts.
