“Authetic korean restaurant serving some good Tang Soo Yook! Very nicely fried and portion is generous! we also tried their seafood jjampong and it was good. I bet the heat is even perfect during colder weathers! I would love to come back and try their jajang. so hopefully soon.
Inside was clean and spacious and service was very good. We were asked if we wanted tea or water which I appreciated. we also had some fried pork left which we got to go and the staff gave us extra sauce! we felt so welcomed.“

“This spot is 12/10 my favorite place in the area. I recently moved to Jersey City however when I’m in the area, I make it a point to grab food from here specifically! The staff is so hardworking and nice. They always have a smile on their face and welcome any questions you may have. Love this place and you will too!“

“I found this amazing restaurant via Google Maps & I’m glad I did! Ordered through Grubhub & everything arrived warm, freshly made & with plentiful amounts! Yum!
BBQ Spare Ribs were amazing in taste & fully cooked, not too soft, just right! Scallion pancakes arrived very crispy & not soggy like others I’ve had! Pork fried rice was seasoned perfectly! They also accommodated my no egg request in the rice for an added bonus! Dumplings were delicious with an adequate amount of juicy pork filling! Boneless BBQ ribs were soft, full of sauce & tasty as well! Prices are a bit higher, but you get your money’s worth overall! Try it you’ll be happy you did!“

“I stopped in here yesterday for lunch and it was without a doubt top 5 foods I’ve ever eaten, both inside and outside the U.S. The malatang hot pot broth was so savory and umami I couldn’t believe how good it was. Medium spice level was just a tad too much for me and I handle spice pretty well (should have listened to the girl at the front counter…). Cant wait to go back and try the other hot and dry pots.“

“I’ll be honest, I almost talked myself out of ordering here. The menu felt a little intimidating at first, but I’m so glad I pushed through. The sauerkraut fish soup completely won me over, rich, bold, and way more approachable than I expected once it’s actually in front of you.
And the lemonade? Genuinely one of the best I’ve had. Don’t sleep on it.
If you’re on the fence about trying this place for the first time, you got to try!“

“We were staying at the Tarrytown house estate and decided to visit Goosefeather for dinner, not having any idea about the restaurant other than that it was located on-site. As Chinese-style martial artists, we were pleasantly surprised to see the Cantonese -fusion menu options as we walked in. Unfortunately, we did not have reservations, but we were able to sit at the bar. What an auspicious turn of luck! The bar offers not only the full menu, but the chance to watch professionals at their craft. We were taken care of by Mariana and Sara, who were busy yet still highly attentive. They were very knowledgeable about the menu, and explained everything even before our questions had a habce to leave our lips. We started with some standard drinks (a spicy martini, and one of their mocktails with Ron Zacapa rum added in). Solid pours, balancing the flavors of the drinks with adequate alcohol to keep things fun). Next week ordered the spicy rice cakes and the potstickers. Each was perfectly done. The potstickers were crispy but not burnt, and paired with a just-right spicy Chinese mustard. There were four per serving, which served to whet out appetites while leaving us waiting for more. Next, we got the spicy rice cakes. These were just hot enough to let the tongue know, but the spice built pleasantly. The plate was pretty big, and the two of us had more than one or two helpings each. Finally, we had the Crying Tiger Tuna. The lightly seared and seasoned tuna was paired with avocado salad, pickled gooseberries, and sweet goji berries. Delicious! To cap it off, we switched up our drinks for two of their signature cocktails. Sweet emotion is a pumpkin espresso martini with a smoky bubble of deliciousness in top. Love in an Elevator is a wild rum ride of flavors I'd never think to blend, such as apricot, chocolate, and lemon. Overall, while pricey, the experience, the food, and the atmosphere made it worth it! As a bonus, we were watched over by a really cool portrait of Bruce Lee!“
“The pickled cabbage was a 10/10—super simple but packed with flavor.
The Crab Meat & Pork Soup Dumplings were decent, but the crab flavor was pretty subtle. The broth was good, though I’ve had better versions in Flushing. The filling could also use a bit more fat and seasoning for richness.
The Peking Duck Spring Rolls were fine but nothing special. The duck inside leaned a little dry.
The Fish with Szechuan Sauce was excellent—very flavorful. Definitely one of the highlights of the meal.
The Crab with Tofu was disappointing. I was expecting something closer to a crab roe / mitten crab style tofu dish, but the crab flavor didn’t really come through.
Overall the food felt a bit hit or miss, but the standout dishes are excellent.
That said, the service, atmosphere, and ambiance were all great and made the meal really enjoyable.
Would come back to try more dishes.“

“We ordered delivery and everything arrived well-packed and still comforting and flavorful. Highlights included the steamed pork soup dumplings (xiao long bao)—juicy, delicate skins, and especially good with the dumpling soy sauce and chili oil. The classic chicken broth was clean and soothing, perfect as a warm add-on, and the smashed cucumber salad was crisp and refreshing, balancing the richer dishes nicely.
The standout for our family was the classic chicken noodle soup with wide knife noodles and chili oil on the side—deep, satisfying broth and chewy noodles that held up well in delivery. We also loved the tomato egg noodles with slow-braised pork, which were savory, comforting, and generously portioned. Our seven-year-old devoured the noodles and braised pork, which is always the ultimate seal of approval.
Overall: reliable, flavorful Chinese comfort food that travels well and pleases both adults and kids. We’ll definitely order again.“

“We had a very pleasant experience on Sunday Feb 15 , 2 pm at Moon Kee. It was a party of 10 at one of the round tables, for a birthday. Some people were quite hungry, so we started ordering dim sum right away from the trolleys that were making the rounds. All of the dim sum dishes were excellent. The main dishes that came later were also on point: well cooked, tasty and quite large portions. Very few of us were able to finish our meals; many take-away containers were required. The staff kindly helped us serve out a birthday cake that we had brought in. My only small critique, which brought the atmosphere rating down to 4 stars, was that our table, which was the round one closest to the front door, would get blasted by a cold draft whenever the door opened. I recommend that they install some sort of windbreak entrance as you see at many restaurants.
Overall, a delightful experience, large quantities of delicious food at reasonable prices. Will definitely be going back, and will recommend to others.“

“A solid hotpot spot in Fort Lee and one of the better options in New Jersey.
The mala broth was quite spicy (which I liked), and all the vegetables, meats, and other ingredients were fresh and well-prepared.
The menu had a good variety, and the quality was consistent throughout the meal. Service was attentive, and the overall atmosphere was clean and comfortable.
Need to bring own alcohol.“

“Great food and great service. The food reminds me of home and is reasonably priced. We keep coming back for the ox tail stew, ribs, beef steak, porkchops, dumplings and the boneless chicharonnes de pollo. Most meals are served with white or yellow rice and beans or vegetables. If you want to try something different, they have the beef liver and squid ink fried rice which remind me of squid ink Paella. The combination meals are a great option to try out different dishes. The staff and owners always greet you with a warm welcome.“

“Su was amazing! I traveled up from the East Bronx for the best Chinese take out I’ve ever had. My Uncle referred me here and I can’t imagine eating from anywhere else now. I was made to feel so special just for making such a huge order and trip but it was worth it!“

“Deliciously freshly prepared food. I came here for the first time and was skeptical about eating here as most take out places are not very appealing to the eye. This spot is in a class of its own. I found the food tasty and fresh which is rare. I recommend the vegetable lo mein and the Singapore mei fun. Didn’t take photos this time but definitely will on my next visit.“

“Chinese noodle place along 2nd Ave in the UES. Prices are not bad given in Manhattan. Decent taste, actually great bang for your buck. Space is tight, 3 tables and a couple of bar / counter seating. Good for 2 people max. Most people buy to go or pick ups. They also have the choice of Egg noodle vs Rice noodle. I prefer Egg noodle over their rice noodle. Overall, reasonably priced noodle soup in the UES. Tight space, as they only have 3 tables.“

“Great food. I now travel from LES for the chicken corn soup (hard to find). I’ve tried a few other dishes and they were also great. David remembers customers and orders to perfection. And is honest with cooking time scale (rarity in the business). Cash only but there’s an ATM next door at JJ food corp the deli on the corner.
Everyone at the depot had great things to say about this neighborhood staple! A true gem for the UES!“

They also deliver, which is really really really really nice. The delivery drivers are always respectful. The workers here are always extremely nice.
There is a Chinese restaurant right by my house that I refuse to go to. I will always come to Lucky star from now on“

“Extremely delicious and authentic Chinese food. As a white person who grew up in Fuzhou, China, this place instantly reminded me of my hometown. The flavors dance on my tongue like a beautiful ballet and my mouth is enveloped in heavenly textures. I seriously recommend this to EVERYONE. As someone who is currently living in Flushing, Queens, I drive to here every week with my wife and two kids. One time my kid didn't like the water the restaurant served, so of course I had to use the kung fu I learned to discipline them. Anyhow, this has to be the best restaurant on Earth. Give this restaurant a try and you won't regret it.“

“We had the Mala Xian Guo (spicy hotpot) and it was great overall. I wouldn’t recommend to put the bean curd roll and fried dough to it because it melted when it was cooked. An uncle was working all by himself when we went there but it was impressive he had everything covered. I’d come here again to eat Mala.“

“Have been going here my entire life. Food, flavors, and hospitality haven’t changed a bit. It’s a true Bronx gem and the best Latin Chinese fusion spot in nyc. “Decided to stop by after driving by on my way home from work. I have often passed this location and wanted to stop by and I am glad I did. I was drawn in by the inviting decor and clean interior. Cuisine is tasty traditional Chinese served in a contemporary setting. I opted for take out as I was on my way home but will definitely dine in to enjoy the sit down experience next time. I took home their sesame tofu with white rice. Takeout is carefully packaged and prepared with the diner in mind. (A much appreciated upgrade from typical restaurants that just throw your dish in a container and toss it in a bag for you.) The menu has classic favorites as well as some more trendy takes on popular dishes. Definitely an upgrade from your typical Chinese restaurant. Come check this place out! 🤩🤩🤩“

“It can be challenging to find a General Tso’s chicken dish that prioritizes quality chicken, but this place exceeds expectations. I’ve visited twice, and each time, the General Tso’s chicken has been outstanding—perfectly cooked and flavorful. The dish pairs wonderfully with the pork fried rice, which is fresh and well-prepared. Additionally, the lo mein is exceptional, offering a rich, savory taste. This spot is highly recommended for anyone seeking delicious, high-quality Chinese cuisine. A must-try!“

“Super impressed by how authentic the food here is. We just moved to NJ from California and have been looking for an authentic Chinese restaurant that’s not just about chow mein or general tso. Forgot to take pictures of all dishes. The spicy dishes have very complex tastes than just spicy, and the non spicy dishes are also super fresh and flavorful. The restaurant does get busy because it’s very popular amongst Chinese people, but the staff is always attentive and makes sure that all of our needs are met. Overall, a great experience and we will definitely come back.“

“Great cheap eats here, I and my girl went on a lunch date and she had about 3 plates and she eats but not that much so I knew the food was good, I had about 3 full plates myself, 15$ each and it's completely worth it. The space is a little tight but seating is comfortable enough to enjoy your meal and time.“

“Thoroughly enjoyed authentic non-American style Chinese dishes without going over the bridge/s. Food - they have so many options and 4 dishes we ordered were all flavorful. Atmosphere - it's a no-frill and comfortable setting. Service was prompt. I'll be going back with more people so that more dishes can be ordered to share and experience together!“

“I’ve been going here for 30 years and the owner is such a nice/kind man! Other staff is great too and are always friendly. The food is always great! Chicken wings & fries are always great. The spare ribs and rib tips are always delicious. One of the few places that have ham fried rice, which is yummy as well. They make the best shrimp broccoli I’ve ever tasted. Other places always make the broccoli too hard and barely any sauce but they make it just right. Lo mein is good too!“

“I’ve been coming here from when I used to go to Tenafly Middle school. This place was my go to for after school snack.
Price is still amazing for lunch deals around $8~$12, portions are generous, and ultimately foods are great.
It’s been more than 10 years but I’ll still come to Tenafly just for Good Taste general chicken tsp combo.
Highly recommended.“
