“The CRAZIEST thing has happened!!!

I have never experienced such high-effort service before. I was out for an early birthday dinner with a few family members, my uncle in particular, enjoys his drinks with ice (lol who doesn’t.) However, after he ordered his signature coca-cola, we were told there was no ice left. Understandably, my uncle was very upset and made it clear to the worker.

Just then, as we were receiving our sushi order, a very kind man named Michael noticed this concern, and told us he was going to the store to get ice. He went out of his way to leave the place, go to CVS, and FREAKING PAID FOR A GIANT ICE PACK JUST TO GIVE MY UNCLE AN ICED DRINK. He basically paid for our drinks if you compare prices. I have never experienced or witnessed this type of outstanding service before.

At first, we didn’t believe it at first, we even bet 5 bucks because we swore we just misheard him. 5 minutes later, he comes back with a giant iced cup just perfect for my uncle to pour his cola in. When was the last time you’ve experienced this?

And on top of that, he served us ice cream dessert on the house!!! We spoke to him for a bit, he even recognized us and where we sat all times we ate here in the past months. He is a very kind man. Shoutout to Michael!!!!!!“

Very simple ambiance and decor but made up for by very charismatic service staff and professional cooks. Splurge on the premium omakase, it's worth it for the chutoro...nice and fatty. Will definitely give Sugarfish a run for their money and it's nice to see uptown. Meal can get a little rushed at times given the high turnover; however, the pace keeps it moving. Nice to see this quality food and experience uptown, and I will definitely be back.“

“Many people seem to enjoy this place, and there is a good variety of food and drinks. The food was generally quite good, except for the jjimdak (steamed chicken). It looked amazing in the menu photos, but it arrived undercooked and had to be cooked longer at our table, which took quite a while. When it was done. it was also a bit spicier than we expected as well
The restaurant was very busy on a Friday night, with people waiting for tables. Because of that, it felt like there was some pressure to finish and leave rather than relax and stay for a long conversation. In that sense, it felt more like a traditional Korean restaurant than a bar where you can sit with friends and talk for hours. Overall, the food and atmosphere were good, but the dining experience felt a bit rushed.“

“Went to Choo Choo Train with five friends. Ordered Miso Salmon entree and it was delicious. Salmon was grilled perfectly, broccoli and carrots were cooked well and still crunchy, and mashed sweet potatoes were yummy. Cannot say enough about food and attentive service. Will return...no doubt!“

I have been searching for the last few years all around the bergen county area for the best chicken teriyaki and I have found it here. This is my absolute favorite! From the way they prepare chicken, to the homemade sauce they use, the perfectly cooked rice and the avocado, egg and dumplings they add on.... it is one of the greatest combinations i've ever tasted. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted and made to feel welcome. The waitresses are consistently polite, attentive, and always carry a genuine smile. “Positive vibes and a great experience. I’ve visited this place several times in person, and I’ve also done takeout a couple of times. The most recent time was takeout. I needed to feed a small group and asked about platter offerings, but was told they don’t have any set menus. They asked what I was looking for and made some recommendations to fit my needs and requested budget.

To say that I was pleasantly surprised would be an understatement. They delivered and then some. It was a combination of various sushi, regular rolls, and specialty rolls.

They also asked about any potential allergies in the group, along with any specific preferences or dislikes.

The food was fantastic in taste and presentation. It was well packed and came with plenty of ginger, wasabi, and miso soup. They also gave me delicious tea while I waited for them to complete my order.

“Ordered via GrubHub for a late Friday night dinner when the sushi craving hit. I ordered a tuna bowl, and hubby had a salmon bowl. All of the sushi bar bowls come with edamame, miso soup, seaweed salad, kani salad, regular salad (in this case, it was arugula), and avocado. The fish came in huge chunks, lightly marinaded, and tasted fresh. No complaints. I’d order again and try some actual rolls next time. I saw on their menu a pretty good deal for lunch - $12.50 for three regular rolls, so I’ll have to check that out.“

Club music was too much & a tad loud. Chefs working at the sushi counter were not engaging at all but looked unhappy. They never said a word, not even hello or good bye. Servers were attentitive & somewhat friendly. Later on a gentleman, maybe the owner, had good energy & greetings. Omakase would have been better if the sashimi was not warmer than room temperature. Ramen at the end was strange & unnecessary. No dessert was included and that would have been better to finish the meal with. Prices are fair. BYOB is a major plus. Next time will not do omakase, as neighboring people were enjoying their a la carte dishes.“

“We had dinner at Matsu on Friday......its a little gem in Hillsdale. We were pleasantly surprised, by the quality and quantity of the food. The Staff went out of their way to accommodate us. “Was looking for a place to grab dinner and found this place online so decided to give it a try, and this place did not disappoint. Located in an area that makes it easy to miss if you’re not looking for it, Enbu was a nice surprise to stumble upon. The first thing I noticed were the bright colors and very nice water feature, which were nice touches to the decor of the restaurant. We split a pineapple cocktail that we enjoyed, it was sweet but just strong enough to do the trick. For an appetizer, we split what I found to be my favorite food there, the pork gyoza. They were absolutely delicious, and might be my favorite gyoza/dumpling I’ve ever had. The ginger they used for my salad was a tad bit strong for my liking, but I still also enjoyed it. For our entrees, we had the hibachi steak and mixed vegetables and the salmon teriyaki and broccoli, both of which were served with rice. We would both say they were good, but arguably nothing you wouldn’t find from another Asian restaurant. In the end, for the price of everything I’d say it was still very worth the visit and would recommend to someone else looking for similar food in the area. Perhaps we’ll be back to try out some stuff off the sushi menu in the future“

We visited for a family gathering and were shown to a private room; the service was attentive, and they kept refilling the delicious side dishes.
The sashimi was fresh, as was all the seafood. There was a wide variety of tasty accompanying dishes, and the staff were all friendly.
The aged kimchi was particularly outstanding—the assorted sashimi paired with it was truly delicious.
The portions were so generous that they even packed up the spicy fish stew for us to take home.
