Sushi W - UES offers a phenomenal and amazing omakase experience at an affordable price. This intimate hole-in-the-wall type spot has a very simple ambiance and decor, and the space can smell like bleach, but it is made up for by very charismatic service staff and professional cooks. Every dish is fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor, with quality and care in each course. The basic menu is very filling, and the premium omakase is worth it for the chutoro, which is nice and fatty. The service is amazing, with friendly staff who make the experience very interactive. Guests can play games during the session for free drinks or free nigiri. The atmosphere is warm and intimate, making the whole meal feel special. The meal can get a little rushed at times given the high turnover, but the pace keeps it moving. Tip is included in the price of the meal. The drink menu is limited for non-alcoholic options, and there are no vegetarian options. This is a great date night spot and a great omakase option uptown.
