I have been searching for the last few years all around the bergen county area for the best chicken teriyaki and I have found it here. This is my absolute favorite! From the way they prepare chicken, to the homemade sauce they use, the perfectly cooked rice and the avocado, egg and dumplings they add on.... it is one of the greatest combinations i've ever tasted. “Truly a one-of-a-kind experience. My fiancé and I had an incredible time. The portions were generous, and the flavor profiles were outstanding. We were genuinely blown away by the quality of the meats and Chef Chris’s distinctive style.

In particular, the waitress with the slicked-back hair has a way of elevating every visit; she’s made several special occasions truly memorable. “I just finished a fabulous Hawaiian poke bowl that I would recommend to anyone. A perfect blend of crunchy spicy and succulent. My choice is to have it over greens, but I think it would be just as good over brown rice. The staff is incredibly friendly, patient with new customers, and so helpful. “Positive vibes and a great experience. I’ve visited this place several times in person, and I’ve also done takeout a couple of times. The most recent time was takeout. I needed to feed a small group and asked about platter offerings, but was told they don’t have any set menus. They asked what I was looking for and made some recommendations to fit my needs and requested budget.

To say that I was pleasantly surprised would be an understatement. They delivered and then some. It was a combination of various sushi, regular rolls, and specialty rolls.

They also asked about any potential allergies in the group, along with any specific preferences or dislikes.

The food was fantastic in taste and presentation. It was well packed and came with plenty of ginger, wasabi, and miso soup. They also gave me delicious tea while I waited for them to complete my order.

Club music was too much & a tad loud. Chefs working at the sushi counter were not engaging at all but looked unhappy. They never said a word, not even hello or good bye. Servers were attentitive & somewhat friendly. Later on a gentleman, maybe the owner, had good energy & greetings. Omakase would have been better if the sashimi was not warmer than room temperature. Ramen at the end was strange & unnecessary. No dessert was included and that would have been better to finish the meal with. Prices are fair. BYOB is a major plus. Next time will not do omakase, as neighboring people were enjoying their a la carte dishes.“

“I have to say, I have tried plenty of AYCE sushi spots and “A Sushi” hands down has to be the best. The fish itself is so fresh, the portion of rice to fish is perfect. Some places use a lot of fillers or extra rice to fill you up but not here. Every bite was honestly so tasty. I ordered 6 rolls, shumai, and a few other kitchen appetizers. Our server was very polite, attentive, and smiling which made the atmosphere feel welcoming. The restaurant itself could use a little decor to be more vibrant but when the sushi is that good, it didn’t really matter. This was my first time and definitely not my last. Absolutely a 12/10 for quality sushi. Go try it out for yourself.“

The cuts are consistent. Quality of the ingredient is also objectively good regardless of price point. Even the care they put into placing pieces inside takeout containers, you can see they really care about what they do.
