Sushi Ishikawa UWS is a spectacular sushi spot and the best omakase value in NYC. Each roll is incredibly unique and will blow your mind. The chef expertly pairs the fish with citrus, truffle, foie gras and different sauces. Everything complements each other beautifully. There are signature pieces like toro with truffle, but enough seasonal changes that diners always get a unique meal. The food is excellent, and every course is delicious. The chefs are charismatic, knowledgeable, and welcoming, explaining every dish. The wait staff is lovely, informative, caring, and hilarious. Shinqua, the server, is kind and professional. The whole room has a great vibe. It is always a fun and delicious meal. This is by far the best sushi on the upper west side, on par with authentic Japanese Cuisine. It is highly recommended for those who appreciate tasty food without taking themselves or food too seriously.
