About Atlas Kitchen

Atlas Kitchen offers a variety of delicious and satisfying Chinese dishes. The standout menu items include mapo tofu, okra, beef dish, hot and sour soup, egg custard soup with seaweed, walnut prawns, and yang chow fried rice. The portions are generous, and the ambiance is charming. However, some dishes may lack depth of flavor, with certain items like General Taos' chicken described as flavorless. The dumplings and fried squid are not to be missed.

The restaurant is located in a convenient spot, close to St John Divine and MET cloisters. It's a popular spot for fresh, hot soup and vegetables, along with ample servings of animal protein. While they offer takeout, the restaurant seating is clean and well-maintained.

The vegetarian options are fresh and delicious, with crisp, not overcooked, vegetables. The menu also features an "American" section, which has received mixed reviews; it is advised to be cautious when ordering from this part of the menu. The pricing is higher than in Flushing, but it's a great option for those who don't want to travel to Queens. Overall, the food is amazing and the service is friendly, making it a favorite place in the neighborhood, especially during quieter times.

Amazing food and great service with reasonable prices
Great food. Large portions, wish the server told us beforehand. But we took the food home anyway. Overall very nice, will be back
If you are looking for your average Chinese-American fare, this is not the place to go. The food is more authentic and very interesting. Spare ribs with lotus root pot was so different and tasty. Lots of meat with bones on both the ribs and chicken. Nicely spiced but not overdone. Comfortable and nicely decorated place. A different Chinese cuisine on the Upper West Side Service attentive.
