Some dishes were amazing. But others were pretty weak. It was good. The dumplings at the soup inside were great. The fried squid was great. The fried rice felt like it was a little old. The special dim sum was really good.

$200 for 3 people with food that were uneatable - a rip off! Rant: Beef that was too tough to chew, steaming small fish that is tasteless, I don’t know how do they have business? It is way over priced for bad Chinese food! There is nothing more upsetting than taking friends out, spending money and still go home hungry!

On the outside you won't give it a second look but once you step in, the culinary pleasure begins, a large menu with plenty to choose from, all we ordered was

Eh, sweet and sour crispy pork was WAY too sweet. Like dessert level sweet. They also took forever to refill my water. Ambiance is nice but pretty disappointed overall.Scallion pancakes were nice but the dipping sauce was also very sweet

I've been eating here for a long time. It was good at first, but it got really annoying later on. The quality of the food plummeted, and many dishes were served without meeting the standards. There were only a few slices of meat in the dishes, or they just used ready-made ham and just threw it in for stir-fry. Completely block me. If you don’t want to do it, just don’t do it.

Overall, mild-taste Chinese food suitable for people who prefer lightly taste-Chinese food. Not as spicy and salty comparing to the authentic style. I enjoyed the Mapo tofu and the Dumplings but not the sweet-sour chicken (too sweet and too much batter)

Sleek midcentury decor is the ideal setting for 2 culinary genres: new age Hunan inspired mainland cuisine and "American Chinese" style dishes. The first is best appreciated by connoisseurs, the latter by anyone who loves Chinese food. The icing on the...scallion pancake is the incredible wine list by the glass and bottle. Pretty rare combo of delights.

I order from here extremely frequently. Probably one of my favorite places for authentic Sichuan style cuisine. Everything is flavorful and addictive. Not gonna lie, it IS a bit salty so expect to swell a little the next morning and wake up super thirsty (if you have it for dinner) but it's worth all the flavors. My go to are Mapo tofu, braised fish, chicken feet and chicken wings.

In my mind, Atlas Kitchen can do no wrong. I've been here 4 times and left very happy (and full) every time. The interior is clean and relatively spacious. Prices are very fair too! Some of my menu standouts:Crispy Whole Fish w/ Green Pepper: A must-order for me. The fish is very flavorful throughout and the meat inside is so tender. Yum!Sautéed Sliced Beef w/ Cilantro: This dish has been served to me hot and cold. When it's cold, its incredible- so refreshing and light!Sautéed Eggplant w/ Salted Egg Yolk: Incredible and so flavorful!! The savory egg yolk paired with the soft eggplant... Wow..Braised Fish Fillet w/ Chinese Sauerkraut: Great for sharing and the tart flavor really comes out! This was a bit spicier than I expected but tolerable.

Made reservations for a Sunday evening. Food was just ok and the ambiance is mostly 'young', meaning it appeared mostly college aged kids, likely due to its location. Ordered the soup dumplings (my favorite), chowder with minced beef (my 2nd favorite), hunan fried rice and noodle soup with braised beef. Overall the seating was easy and friendly service, but again food is just ok.

Menu is long and they don't have any printed menus so you need to scroll endlessly on your phone. This is a pointless inconvenience. You need to pay extra for rice. This is just gratuitous gouging; it is customary to provide at least the first serving rice at no extra charge at NYC Chinese restaurants.Okay, that gets the complaints out of the way.The food is superb and the portions are generous. Cumin lamb arrived just minutes after we ordered and was perfectly seasoned, fragrant and fresh. Chicken with aged ginger arrived shortly afterward. It was great as well, with succulent mushrooms and garlic and robust spices and sauce. The abundant splintered bits of chicken bone were less welcome but the waiter had warned us to expect this. Eggplant with chilies was very fresh and perfectly cooked if a little uninteresting.Nice, unusual Chinese beers.Staff was attentive and friendly.I'll definitely go back.
