Way too expensive for basic rolls for dinner. Warning to anyone about to come, $9.50 for a spicy salmon or salmon avocado roll.

Small spot there was no one there when we came in and I felt bad for our server it seemed he was serving and in the kitchen no alcoholic beverages. The appetizers were good we got the Korean gyoza and the chicken wings. Food was fresh I would skip the Ramen it was a bit cold and missing some flavor the pork was a bit rubbery I didn’t eat it. Sushi was okay fish was fresh. Price point was good.

A cute, demure, high quality sushi place. Willing to make substitutes for vegan and vegetarian options.

Everything was ok. They could’ve made a better presentation with the sushi. This place had a Strong smell of fish once you walk in overall not bad. The waiter was really nice.

What a gem! My family recently decided to try to find another local sushi place instead of our regular spot and we are so happy we did. Just walking in was so warm and welcoming. This place is a real jewel box, decorated and styled so as you actually feel you are in Japan. Sandy, our host and server, was so nice and attentive. Chef Sung prepared some of the best sushi we have had in ages. The fish was exceptionally fresh and expertly prepared. We were really hankering for sushi that night so the only cooked things we ordered were shumai and eel but we are already looking forward to going back and trying more things.
I don't often know what to make of other reviewers takes as I do not know their palates. But I can tell you that we have had sushi everywhere from North Jersey/NYC, to SF, to Japan and IMHO this place was truly fantastic. The price was also right on point, not so cheap that you question the quality but not so expensive that it is out of reach. This is definitely our new spot!
Helpful hint, if you are looking for a menu preview, it is most easily found through the google listing

Amazing outstanding bento boxes! I couldn’t believe their portion sizes and item generosity! I was very happy with my tempura and salmon teriyaki boxes. :) The staff and service and waiters here were extremely nice and very kind-hearted! I had a pleasure interacting with them! I felt so welcomed and at ease by them ? and I felt like they cared that everything was taken care of and okay. Definitely would recommend!

The rice was nicely done in the rolls we ordered - the flavor and texture complimented the fish combinations -no need for soy or wasabi. I recommend their okonomyaki, too.

Vegetarian options: I am vegeterian my self and I always get sushi and miso soup. The resturant has many options for everyone.

This is a very quaint restaurant run by a husband and wife wife team. The food is ALWAYS EXCELLENT! The service is ALWAYS, warm, kind and attentive. The seafood selections are fresh. We absolutely love the scallion pancakes. My daughter and I go here often and the owner always recognizes my voice when I call and when I go and pick up food for my daughter whose away at college in NYC every single time she asks about my daughter and knows us both by name. She makes an effort no matter how busy they are to chat with us.The seating is divided by partitions offering a lot of privacy. If you’re going at prime dining time call ahead to get a sense of availability. When I order for take out to take it across the bridge to Columbia, the food holds up exceedingly well by the time my daughter orders. Anytime she comes home from college, she makes Matsuyama one of her dining stops and often we order from the bridge to grab food on her way home when she’s coming for just a night or two.I highly recommend this local gem!

Parking: There are always spots available on the same street which are parking meters until 6PM. There is free parking on side, residential streets in the area.

We arrived at 8pm. Website and sign at the door says it closes at 9pm. Apparently not important because upon our arrival the waiter (very rude) told us that were closed. Unfortunate not respectful to the customer.
