The short older lady with black hair was very rude from them moment I got there. When leaving we were rushed and not notified of the kitchen closing leaving us upset because I drove a far way and would've ordered before closing time had I been correctly attended to. Then when paying she came back and asked for the signed receipt, I gave it to her and she opened it then n there n said loudly in front of every "ONLY 6 dollars and...cents". Mind you I only had 15 cash on me so I knew I was payin with my card and because of the good food and byob appreciation I wanted to leave 20. Which was well over 25% being that the food was actually good and fresh and I too am in a field that receives tips. I quickly corrected her and let her know I wasn't even ready to give her the bill nor have I gotten up to leave my actual cash tip. I literally just packed my food and you're rushing me to leave so you rushed me to pay and sign. I stupidly still left the tip but I thought about it afterwards and she shouldn't have gotten a cent. As I said I too am in a tip receiving field and I NEVER feel entitled to a tip even when I do extra work by choice. I was waited by her and another guy so I was leaving the tip regardless cause he was very nice but HER, she made me wanna take back every penny and leave nothing, so rude. For that I will never be going back, they don't know how to treat black people! Or people period.

I have been coming here consistently for the last two years and the food never disappoints. The BEST Asian food in Englewood and always hits the spot. I highly recommend their lunch classics, such as the Thai Coconut curry sauce. The sushi rolls are immaculate. Lo mein is also extremely good.

Disappointed by the sashimis that come in huge undigestible blocks like they’re too lazy to cut it in finer pieces, the lame green salad sold as a full price item and is mostly mushy lettuce thrown in a tiny box and the constant decrease in size while prices keep going up
They're very good . I order from them quiet often

We came here for dinner and it hit the spot.I ordered chicken lo mein and it was a good sized portion (in a deep ramen bowl). It was more on the oily side and could have used a tad more flavor but it was good.My friend ordered some sushi rolls as well.Friendly staff!
Vegetarian options: Lo mein, fried rice, appetizers
Parking: Street parking available
My favorite establishment in all of Englewood (admittedly tied with Hummus Elite). Consistently incredibly friendly and attentive service paired with the absolute best sushi around. Price point for the quantity and quality of the food is also very good. Best miso soup I've ever had, ♡ Vicky

I came here expecting some average, bland food like some basic salt and pepper shrimp. Tani truly innovates their cuisine by adding in flavors no one would ever expect like adding sprinkles onto shrimp. It was truly one of the dishes of all time, and the heat radiating off the shrimp made the sprinkles melt, coating the dish with rainbow goodness. The best part was that there was no mention of sprinkles on the dish so it was a nice surprise for my friend when it wasn't even his birthday!
This was my one of my favorite restaurants- and tonight’s meal was such a let down. Sent back scallion pancakes because they had no or two mini pieces of scallion, and the waiter says they can try better next time.?♀️ Get the tempura lobster roll, and asked for soy paper instead of seaweed and the lobster falls out of the tempura and roll. They never told me they were going to charge an extra $2 for a roll that wasn’t rolled. My Uncle got the kung bao and only flavor is chili- got the orange chicken and shrimp, and that was disappointing too. The icing was the sesame tuna that is supposed to be seared and came raw. Again, this was one of my favorite places…?

Good presentation and service. But we've had better sushi. General Tsos chicken was overcooked. But we'd give it another try.
Years ago I came here shortly after they opened and got the worst food poisoning of my life. Everything tasted fine, but i just woke up from a nightmare where I was going through that experience again.
By far it’s the best Sushi I ever had. I love this restaurant. All the good food is delicious. I would recommend Tani to anyone if you want quality sushi and fried rice.
Fresh, fantastic, and we were lucky to get the table in the window. Best scallion pancakes in awhile!
This may be my favorite restaurant in the area. They have Tai, sushi, Chinese and every dish I've ever had was excellent.
