I see my grades and I cry

Everything is fine, but the service is very bad. The portion size is too small, and the price is high... I think it would be better to spend this money and go to another Korean restaurant with good service. It would be nice if only this part could be fixed. The food was so delicious!

Nice modern Korean restaurant. We ordered Gujeolpan for appetizer, and Neobiani and Branzino sotbap for main dishes. Everything was delicious and neatly plated, but I think they’re a bit overpriced compared to other contemporary Korean restaurants in the area. Bring cash - thank me later.

I have not eaten in this place yet but the way they run their business have already shown me how bad their mentality about service is. I have tried to make a reservation as I told they have very few tables. Their website booking system does not work, google reservation does hot work. And they do jot have any other system. Therefore I called and they were fully booked for today. Then I asked for tomorrow and they said that they are not fully booked but they do not have a table for two. I could not understand so asked them what that means… so… this table is for 4 people and if they do not sell the four seat they cannot give you the table… what??? What kind of business is that!!!! So I am asking them as I am making a reservation and for sure we are going if I can take that table and sit two people… and they said that there could be a walking in group of four people… is it me? Or am I the only one not understanding the philosophy of this restaurant??? What a greedy people. So if they cannot sell the entire table they would waste on a customer who wants to eat there… extremely disappointed indeed.

Out of so many Korean restaurants I’ve tried in NYC/Northern NJ areas, I have to say this place is the most authentic Seoul-style Korean food I’ve had so far. I kept thinking I need to bring my parents to this place as I was savoring every dish that came with my Sotbob. I rarely touch banchans at other places but this place goes the extra mile even for their banchans…!! Highly recommend this place

Today, I have decided to have our luncheon at the Plating.

I chose Sot-Bap with pan-seared Branzino. I don't eat rice often when I go to restaurants, but it was so delicious that I almost ate it all because I felt terrible about leaving any leftovers.

The side dishes weren't too salty, and they were perfect.
The number of side dishes was just right, and the dishes were charming. I can tell the owner had paid a lot of attention.

The food is thoughtfully prepared, served in a charmingly modern setting and tastes really good. From the presentation of each dish to the elegant table settings, every detail is refined. The flavors are perfectly balanced, neither overwhelming nor underwhelming.

I went there to celebrate my wife's birthday. I really liked it because it felt like home-cooked food, neat and clean. The owner also kindly explained the food. I will visit again next time I have the chance.

Visited last week. Place is a bit on the smaller size with maybe 7 tables. Food is excellent. Definitely can tell that they spent a lot of time and efforts to create a wonderful dining experience. Portion is not large but rather ideal for 1 person esp with all the banchan. Slightly more pricier than nearby Korean restaurants but worth it especially for a special occasion

It was an absolute joy to discover a local gem that serves authentic, upscale yet affordable modern Korean cuisine. I want to give the owner chef a standing ovation and a pat on the back.

Yes, I heard complaints about small portion, but the serving size was perfect for me. If you are a big eater, perhaps this place is not for you. 5 Banchan, 1 soup and 1 small iron pot of Le Staunb were sufficient for me.

Chef owner’s culinary excellence was equally matched by her superior sense of interior design. All furnitures were simply better than typical restaurant-grade furnitures. Plates, bowls and ramekins? It was an absolute joy to eating from carefully crafted art works. I am totally impressed with her pursuit of aesthetic excellence.

It sounds like 2 Michelin Starred restaurant in NYC. Unfortunately, you have to travel to a relatively obscure location in Leonia, NJ. While I am highly praising the owner chef’s excellence in culinary skills and plating skills, I am not sure if I can say the same thing about her business management skills. Location is undesirable, restaurant is lacking reservation system, and you will end up paying 3.5% surcharge for using credit card. Well, it does not scream as a customer-friendly place, right?

Despite these slight negatives, I know I will be a frequent diner here for a long time.

This place has quickly become a favorite – I've been there twice in just two weeks and already can't wait to go back! It stands out from the crowd in every aspect, from the unique interior design to the incredible flavors, high-quality ingredients, and surprisingly reasonable prices.

The moment I walked in, I could tell the owner-chef puts a lot of care into the experience. While some reviews mention small portions, I completely disagree. The attentive waitstaff constantly checks on you and offers to refill the delicious banchan (side dishes) as needed.
