Big Bob's Original Philly Cheesesteaks

Service was lacking very slow only have one person working. Doesn’t really know what they’re doing. The food is mostly premade from restaurant depot. The bread was hard. I had the hamburger dried out meat. No flavor. The onion rings weren’t cooked. And I was also told that they have illegal hires.

Have been coming here for years when in the area. Just recently things have definitely changed. The cheese steaks were extremely greasy and the chili cheese fries tasted awful. Upon reading some reviews it seems that it has new owners. Well it definitely shows. The store wasn't as clean as it used to be and the food was definitely a fail. Very disappointed.

Used to get italian dogs that were amazing now last 2 times bread was different and not good and very few potatoes...two strikes you're out .never again ,quality way down ,prices up

It's definitely some good food and Big Bob's nephew is a very nice young man. We were just stopping by after a trip to the englishtown flea market ! Perfect french fries. Great sandwiches, great price. We were very happy !

I recently had dinner at Big Bob’s Restaurant in Manalapan, and honestly, it was such a great experience! The food ordered was absolutely delicious—everything was packed with flavor, and you could tell it was made with care. They have a great variety on the menu, so there’s something for everyone. Pretty honest about it! What really stood out to me was how clean everything was. The place was spotless, and it just gave me a lot of confidence in their hygiene standards. It’s not something you always notice unless it’s really well done, and they nailed it. If you’re in the Manalapan area and looking for a place with amazing food, great atmosphere, and super clean surroundings, you’ve got to check out Big Bob’s. I’ll definitely be back!

the worst cheese steak I think i have ever had. either the other reviews are fake or they let someone's kids run the place.on christmas day. the classic was bland, I couldn't even figure out what type of cheese was on it, cheap roll. the California had one piece of leaf lettuce on the bottom so it was completely soggy, 1 thin tomato slice also on the bottom and no raw onion. couldn't tell if it had mayo. my kid wouldn't eat the burger it was dry and overcooked with literally nothing on it. chili cheese fries tasted like chili from a can and cheese wiz microwaved on fries. I will never eat at this place again.

The place has new owners. It's definitely not the same as the previous owners. The sandwich was so greasy I couldn't hold onto it. And the place is filthy. Very sad to see such a great business disolve.

Ordered delivery. One cheesesteak was missing the onions it comes with. The chili was missing the cheese it was ordered with. The wings were missing the blue cheese that was selected with the order. We also ordered a 2-liter of Diet Coke which they called prior to delivery and told me they didn’t have and offered TWO cans of Diet Coke instead as a replacement for a 2-liter. I would not recommend this place for delivery and if you’re going in make sure they get your order right.

Cheesesteak was delicious. Ordered cheesesteak, Caesar wrap, and chicken finger and I was impressed at how there was no grease at all. I’ll definitely go back.

The food is pretty good, and some of the staff is very friendly. The issue is they constantly and repeatedly advertise stuff they do not have, or are not offering. They STILL advertise snow cones, despite not having them, as well as a specials board written in chalk that one day is available, the next day you’re told they don’t do it anymore, and the next day the same special is offered, and you can get it. It’s unfortunate they are not more consistent in what they claim to sell, but that’s my only complaint. The food is worth a try for sure

I have been to this place couple of times, I must say food and service both are great. They have best sandwiches around. The new owner is carrying the old tradition and cooking style very well. The philly steak sandwiches is amazing there. Last time I was there they gave me chicken sandwiches with some unique flavor and it was out of this world. I have nothing but great things to say about this place and I'll be honest I'm a regular customer there now.
