Mixed Greens & Grill Manalapan

I come here a lot and usually have an overall good experience and enjoy the food. Today I was ordering salads for my girl and I one small and one large and there was absolutely not difference in the amount of food either of the salads was getting. Only difference was paying about $5-6 more after taxes. Usually my experiences are good here, but this was ridiculous. My large to go container was probably half the weight it usually is when other employees have worked the line. When I confronted the employee working he did not offer to add more or anything just saying it wasn’t intentional. Probably won’t be coming back to spend $16 again for a salad that looks already half eaten.

Service is incredibly slow, the answer the phones as if they are confused you are calling. The staff is on phones and doesn’t work effectively or efficiently. The food is extremely over priced but good. I wouldn’t mind paying it if the experience was better.

Stopped for a quick lunch break, got a wrap. It was fresh, tasty, really delicious. Love how they chop it and then wrap it. Only thing is they could have wrapped the wrap alittle tighter. Otherwise very pleased with my wrap!

Me and my family were really craving salads, so we decided to give this place a try. I ordered a small salad, and my family ordered two large ones — but to our surprise, all three salads were basically the same size. On top of that, the protein portions were minimal, and the toppings were lacking. My salad was mostly just shredded cheese and a bowl full of lettuce, with barely anything else added.

It felt like a lazy attempt at a salad, and definitely not worth the price. If you're looking for value and flavor, I recommend going to Saladworks or Wawa both give you way more for your money.

Save yourself the disappointment.

Got a large over priced salad and ended up getting food poisoning!! I don’t want to go into detail about how my disturbing night was last night, but it is still going on today! Also looks like there is a huge amount of cross contamination, food is literally flung into other containers next to it. I do NOT recommend..

The food is really good but this place, at least specifically the one in manalapan consistently messes up orders. If you order online, expect something to be wrong with it. If you order in person make sure you are HOVERING over them while they make your food!!

I asked for a chopped to Cobb salad with citrus dressing, not sure what dressing this is but it’s not citrus. The salad is missing avocado plus the tomatoes taste like they’ve been frozen- they look waterlogged

I usually love this overpriced salad place - but today I witnessed either a manager or owner berating an employee in front of customers . It broke my heart for the kid - please if you have a problem with an employee take it in the back - I really left feeling so sorry for the employee.

Hey Donna, I’m writing to let you know how deplorable your behavior was today. I don’t appreciate having to pick up my order from the floor when it would have taken you less energy to hand it me directly since I was directly in front of you. Clearly you lack the skill set to be working in customer service. Thanks to your poor customer service and terrible social skills I’ll be sure to think twice before coming back or recommending your business to any pharmaceutical reps. Have the day you deserve <3

This place has great salad but their staff needs attention from the restaurant owner and the manager needs to be reevaluated.

First, they were asking customers to tip when we were placing the order for a pick up. We asked why is tip required for pick up, they said "Because we work really hard here."
Order was placed at 11:35am. My staff arrived at the restaurant 12:15pm, food wasn't ready until 1pm.

When my staff reached out to take the bags over from Donna, Donna put all the bags on the floor instead.
Donna also said "You should have tipped us if you wanted the food sooner."
That was very nervy and rude to make such comments to their customers.

I decided to call the restaurant and ask for the manager. Donna answered the phone, she said she was the manager.
I told her I find the attitude from their restaurant unprofessional and rude.
She said, "Tip is preferred, not required. But the people here work on tips, we depend on the tips working here."
This did not make sense to any of us, do they not get paid hourly for what they do? Tips definitely did not seem "preferred", more like "demanded".

The review rating is based on the customer service. The salads are excellent with the freshest ingredients.The customer service is the issue. More concern seems to be placed on the online orders vs those waiting on line. Maybe 1 person was attending to those on line while at least 3 were dealing with phone orders. I understand that those orders may be large but at least acknowledge the people there. I waited over 20 minutes for an assembly line salad and there were only 2 people ahead of me. 2 people on line behind me left because of the wait. It would be a shame to see the business suffer because of this easy fix. The food is excellent
