I had such a great experience here this morning. I came in with my daughter to order breakfast and the minute we walked in, the woman spoke to us and even asked us how we were doing. I was having a bad day until I came here and they made us feel so welcomed. We even laughed together and joked aboit about how I wanted provolone cheese on a hot sandwich and she said “eww provolone on a hot sandwich, are you sure?” Lol we laughed and I am so glad that I got a different cheese because it was better.😅 everyone here so sweet and friendly. They even thanked us and told us to have a great day. I will definitely be coming back.

I tried El Classico a couple of weeks ago after asking a client for the best Italian sub spot in the area, and he immediately recommended this place. He was absolutely right—it did not disappoint. I always use an Italian sub as my litmus test when trying a new deli, and this one was incredible. Honestly, it’s one of the best Italian subs I’ve ever had.
A few of my coworkers gave El Classico a try as well, and they were all just as impressed. The food is fresh and flavorful, the staff is welcoming, and orders come out quickly. The shop itself is clean, has plenty of seating, and offers a comfortable atmosphere.
El Classico is definitely a new go-to spot for me, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great deli experience.

Visited Il Classico for the very first time on Thursday with a co-worker of mine. I had the Napoli sandwich: grilled chicken, broccoli rabe & sharp provolone sandwich, along w/ a cavatelli pasta salad made w/ balsamic vinegar. Both were absolutely delicious !!! Everything we ordered was overwhelmingly fresh. I could tell immediately it was all homemade. The deli was super clean w/ a staff that was very friendly and attentive. If you haven’t tried this deli in Fairfield on Rt. 46, YOU DON’T HAVE A CLUE AS TO WHAT YOU’RE MISSING. I will definitely be eating here several times a week. A+++++++

I’ve been going to this deli for years and it’s by far the best in the area. The rice is my favorite and owners always make me feel like I’m family. Great place, great food, great atmosphere.
Let me tell you about one of the best italian deli’s in the area…I always go with a 32 “hot” ordered hot meaning they heat up the chicken and bread. Comes non toasted but warm. This is a delicious sandwich. I really only ever get that. Creature of habit. Roe behind the counter is a pistol, they have the true feel of a family run shop…don’t be alarmed by their busy nature and loud voices…they’ve got “a lot going on” my favorite time is when the delivery driver comes in and talks about his favorite sports teams with all the old timer italian guys who frequent this spot…by frequent I mean sit and chat for a few hours every day! I feel so comfortable at this place as they make you feel part of the family. If you don’t arrive at 11:55 don’t be surprised if you might be waiting a few to even place the order for lunch, but it goes quick! They even have a huge catering side of the business that pumps out tons of trays of cold and hot foods! Highly recommend. The stacks of cutlets is impressive. The bread they use is perfect for sandwiches, and this is a place that doesn’t make you feel “full” after. It’s perfectly portioned!

Chris was extremely helpful and the rest of the staff as well. First I ordered a breakfast sandwich. Just a turkey sausage egg and cheese on a roll. While waiting I noticed some different platters in the case. I decided to also order lunch for myself. When Chris returned with my sandwich I asked for chicken cutlets potato salad and brown rice. My breakfast sandwich was delicious and so was my lunch afterwards. Excellent place to eat

Definitely “Italian” type restaurant and service might be not what you expect. But they don’t mean rudeness or anything like that. Subs are one of the best I ever had; definitely give them a shot with their basic sandwiches over specialities.
