Another star for being walking distance from the rock climbing gym right next door. So great for a good rock climbing sesh and great Mexican food after! “Exceptional! This place is NOT NORMAL, you want a mid smash burger? Look elsewhere. Come here if you want a truly delicious and well-made elevated smash burger. Check out this burger, mozz patty perfectly cooked party in yo mouth type shit. Smash burger caramelized perfectly. Little onions are grilled so tasty. Sauce is unique and addictive. Fries are extra crispy and clean.

The care it took to put it together and cook it is noticeable. It’s truly a special place.”

“Best ice cream shop in Essex County if not the entire state of NJ. You can taste the difference in quality, creaminess, ingredients, no artificial flavors. Small micro batches made with natural ingredients and real flavors. Great owner and staff. Very nice people who go above and beyond to help create a wonderful experience. Small space but the flavor is large. They are getting ready to launch their second storefront in Lyndhurst. Go check them out. You won’t be disappointed. Favorite flavors include: Strawberry Baklava Chocolate But all are incredibly good!”

“this place restored my love for cannolis lol. i feel like i can only get them there now. they make them right in front of you and you can pick the topping you want. they dip them on both sides. i got choco chip and rainbow cookie and OMGGGGGGGGG. creamy cream and crunchy shell! loved everything! my family loved theirs as well. i bought them choco chips ones. i loved the painted wall with my main man frank sinatra :).......staff was very friendly as well. just a fun and cute spot!”

“Have not had the pleasure of visiting this store in person but I’ve ordered from the dough palace twice and bought different flavors of the pro-dough. My boyfriend and I eat this and feel like everything in the world is going to go our way that’s how freaking delicious it is. It’s light and fluffy, sweet but not extremely sweet, and added protein in there gives it a great texture. I’m going to keep ordering from here over and over again!”

“What up guys! So I have been going here for my lunch break at least 3 times a week for the last 3 years and let me tell you, they are super friendly, CONSISTENT fresh food, great customer service. I highly recommend giving trying this place out. I either get shrimp w/broccoli with white rice, chicken w/broccoli in garlic sauce extra garlic sauce with white rice, 2 spicy salmon rolls and 2 spicy tuna rolls w/spicy mayo and eel sauce on the side oh yeah they have sushi too..😌, or chicken wings with shrimp fried rice I enjoy changing it up because everything is really that good.”

Has seating at bar and has outside patio. (Was just a little to hot out there today) Very clean and definitely swinging by again. It’s right across street from Fairfield airport. The quality is consistently excellent, and you can really tell they take pride in what they make.

The staff is also friendly and helpful, and the bakery has such a welcoming atmosphere. Whether you are stopping in for something sweet, picking up fresh bread, or ordering for a special occasion, Calandra’s never disappoints. Definitely one of my favorite bakeries in the area and absolutely deserving of five stars!”
