“Best ice cream shop in Essex County if not the entire state of NJ. You can taste the difference in quality, creaminess, ingredients, no artificial flavors. Small micro batches made with natural ingredients and real flavors. Great owner and staff. Very nice people who go above and beyond to help create a wonderful experience. Small space but the flavor is large. They are getting ready to launch their second storefront in Lyndhurst. Go check them out. You won’t be disappointed. Favorite flavors include: Strawberry Baklava Chocolate But all are incredibly good!“

“This is the biggest Baskin Robbins I have ever visited. It has wifi, a large flat screen TV, bathrooms, lots of seating including upholstered club chairs as well as tables and chairs. It's clean. It's 24 hours. Service is fast but the only time I've gone is at night when it's empty. I understand it gets crowded during the day. I highly recommend. 4 stars because the cashier didn't know there was a new drink on the menu, which I ordered, and had to turn and look at the menu to see what I was talking about.“

“I first found this place through their stall at the Bergen Town Center, and I've been a customer ever since. They have so much sweets-wise from fruity drinks, sundays and so many fresh baked ube treats that are worth picking up. Personal favorite is their ube tres leches but anyone visiting should come back and work their way through their menu.“

“Saw this gorgeous little boutique in the mall, and I had to stop in!
The presentation of the chocolates and gelatos are eye catching and organized. I love the displays for Easter and chocolate eggs are my favorite!! Especially the mini Lampone eggs. I grabbed many mix & match chocolates along the wall which are paid by weight. The employee named Angel was very kind and helpful explaining all of the options and recommending gelato flavors which made making a decision much easier for me.
I chose a gourmet baby cone with pistachio and it was scooped to perfection! I will be back for more soon :)“

“The ice cream was delicious but two people in my party got huge sundaes and they took about ten minutes to make. I felt horrible for the people behind us. I think a queue would be more appropriate than going and hoping you don’t behind the wrong people. Servings are more than generous but they’re packed into the container so tightly that on a hot day, it spills over the sides as soon as someone digs in. There’s also nowhere to sit A few small tables or benches would be nice.“

“We recently celebrated my daughter’s 10th birthday at SOMA Sweets, and I honestly can’t say enough wonderful things about the experience!

From the moment we walked in, everything felt warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully put together. The space itself is charming and perfect for a kids’ celebration - bright, fun, and full of sweet details that made the day feel extra special.

What truly stood out, though, was the owner and her team. Their kindness, patience, and genuine enthusiasm made all the difference. They went above and beyond to make sure every child felt included and had a great time. It’s clear they care deeply about what they do, and it shows in every aspect of the experience.

The activities were engaging and age-appropriate, keeping a group of excited 10-year-olds happily entertained (no small feat!). And of course, the sweets and ice cream were absolutely delicious - beautifully made and a huge hit with both kids and adults.

SOMA Sweets made everything feel easy and seamless. I was actually able to relax and enjoy the celebration alongside my daughter, which is the greatest gift.

“This Place is awesome. I went and asked if they would make a special blizzard my daughter say on TikTok. They said sure. Do you know what’s in it? We looked it up and they made it. They always go above and beyond Thank you for being awesome people.“

“I have not physically been to their store, but have watched their TikToks and live stream.( J did an absolutely stunning job with the cakes she was making today. She did happy birthday cakes, to streamers, to a gory unicorn cake that represented a Halloween theme. She is very fast handed and very detail oriented when it comes to making those cakes come to life! She also went over how she makes roses on cakes as well which as her least favorite part, was my favorite part. It was pretty fascinating and captivating learning more about the art of cakes! We also were able to see her role from cake making, to her customer service abilities. In my opinion she was pretty kickass! She is very spunky and very funny. Mike has cultivated a very positive workplace where they have fun with the job, which is what it should be about. My strongest advise is don’t knock it till you try it for yourself! “Decided to stop in after a tour visit to Montclair University and receiving a gift card for Christmas. Everything was delicious. We ordered brisket fries,cheese fries, smash patty melt, Montclair Blue Burger, build your own burger and 3 shakes. Everything was amazing including the burger buns (fluffy and airy). I wish they were closer to us, Old Bridge could definitely use a really good burger place.“

“The ice cream is delicious. You can tell that it's store made, and made fresh. Unlike most ice cream shops today that just buy their ice cream, you can tell the freshness in all of their ingredients.

It's especially a great place to go with the kids. They have a fenced-in area where the kids can play on the giant rocking chair or on the basketball court that they have in the fenced in patio.“

“Made a phone order for a custom photo cake this past weekend. The manager who, both at phone call and while I was picking up, always prioritizes the service of the customers in front of her. She called back to take the order less rushed and she really made me feel like whomever she is helping she is giving her full attention to provide a good service. It was easy working with her to customize the perfect cake for my sisters birthday. We were blown away! She loved her cake and our family loved the extra crunchies!
