I ordered an Old Fashioned Pizza tonight. It was truly inedible and I was shocked! I've been enjoying that pizza for the last 10 years and all of a sudden it fell flat on it's face. I did order delivery & that may have something to do with it, but not enough. I know pizza, its my only food group. I do Star Tavern, Reservoir Tavern, Patty's & every other top 10 in the area....
Michael Angelos used to be up there, but now they are below average.

Amazing meal in non descript location. You would never know it was there but it ia worth the trip. The sauce is so delish! The meatballs were great. Michael Angelo himself came out to say hello. Dont miss this little gem.

Best Italian restaurant in town, no contest. Pasta made from scratch. Excellent service. Wine is BYO. Love this place!

We stayed in Redroof so thought to give a try to their pizza. We liked it. The Brazilian man who attended us was very nice and friendly.

A Newark institution moved to the burbs. Michael Angelo brought his outstanding cuisine to this location many years ago but still identifies with its origins in Newark's Little Italy. My recent visit confirms that they haven't lost any of their former appeal. The food and service are top-notch. When you go, bring an appetite. The portions are very generous, and every bite is a delight.

What a hidden gem. Asked a friend of mine if there's anywhere to get real fresh pasta near Fairfield. He said only one place. But don't judge a book by its cover. It's inside a dive hotel. My wife heeeell no. We're not eating here. As soon as we walked in we felt we were in the right place. The smells and the quality of food coming out was mind blowing. We got the rigatoni with vodka sauce. UNREAL! This place is a must try! Home made pasta, sauces, cutlets. Definitely going to be a weekly staple for us.

The food was absolutely delicious and service was great too! We were a party of 8 on a Saturday night, and I'm speaking on everyones behalf. We met Michael the owner, who actually made us a special order of zeppolies which were incredible! We definitely will be back! Thank you again.

Excellent thin crust, brick oven pizza. Great flavor and crust. Definitely some of the best pizza in the area.
