Would like to give 0 stars because of the horrible customer service. I walked in with my bf and no one was at the host stand. A black man with a bald head (who I presumed to be the manager) was sitting down on his phone and did not get up to greet us but instead shouted from his seat that they were no longer taking tables. We walked in at 9:49 pm on a Saturday, they close at 11. He said they take the last seating at 9:45pm. REALLY. Not even 5 minutes. Anyhow I would have respected the cutoff of seating but he could have atleast offered for us to sit at the bar for a drink or even get takeout. Mind you this was my first time and I’ll never be back just based off this one interaction. Very disappointed.

Great experience along with the good food. It's a busy- busy place took us 20 minutes to get a seat.
Food was great , service was very very fast and the price was way less than most Hibachis in northern NJ. Def gotta get there before 545 6pm on Fri or Sat tho

Will take reservation cannot hold reservation. Manager had no sympathy, having designating customers to wait in a specific area and then never returning to seat them. Free for all to get seated. Food was good, chefs are great and funny. Ambiance is nice. Izumi has better food, better service, and is just around the corner. Do not waste money here, especially at busy times such as weekends, until new management takes over and runs business properly. Do not come here expecting not to wait for an hour and a half to be seated, and another 45 for chef to begin. Reservations are meaningless.

If you don't care about food, service or ambiance - this is your place! Don't bother making a reservation bc it won't be honored and I recommend bringing your own beer and food since you'll likely turn into a skeleton waiting for your hibachi chef to never turn up to your table (we waited over an hour at ours before walking out while others sat, ate and paid ether checks). Though he boasts working at the restaurant for ten years, "host" Marcus can't effectively manage a "busy Saturday night" - and could really care less about his customers. Sadly, this post, nor the many other terrible reviews here, won't matter to this establishment...plenty of other willing, ready and able restaurants in the area -- shout out to Anthony Franco's for saving the night in 20 mins (a place that CAN manage a busy Saturday night).

We had a reservation at 7 p.m. we got there and the place was packed. People who had reservations at 6:30 pm, it was 7:40 and they were not even sat yet. The host didn’t even seem to care, he didn’t even have a list to write the names nor was checking a list for reservations. Don’t know why they take reservations if they won’t respect them. Horrible experience. Never going back to this place.
