Is it Spring 2024 yet?! This is the place to go...a beautiful setting with amazing food choices! Their customer service and patience with all types of demands is unsurpassed. Can't wait to see their new location and how they create elegance, again! Hang tough, Susan and Sara your fans (subjects) await you! Cheerio!

The reason I'm giving only three stars is because of the service. The food here is not bad (but nothing to write home about). The atmosphere and setting is beautiful. The place is very well decorated in a beautiful historic place. I'm sure the new location will be just as lovely too. However... All of that goes out the window when service is sub par.I also recently came to inquire about reservations for my daughter's first birthday party and was greeted by a very dismissive (clearly busy) hostess. I didn't receive this well considering I had traveled quite a ways for the inquiry. All in all; great setting, average food, poor service.

This was a very nice experience for my family. We went to celebrate my mother in law and my father's birthday. The service was outstanding and the tea selection was impressive. The food was very good. There were two downers... we asked about being able to bring in cupcakes with candles.. And were told that it would cost 5 dollars a person. Our bill came to 250+ for 7 people.. I felt it was bad form to upcharge us on top of that for cupcakes to celebrate birthdays. Sad. And in the same vein, when the bill came, the tip was automatically added at 18%. I find this practice very tacky... I'm happy to tip, but it should never be mandatory. Truth is, I usually tip starting at 20%.. and for exceptionally good service, I'll even to the bill. This business should research the word 'gratuity'... To see what it actually means. Overall though, it was a great time. Just sad that it ended with a bad taste in my mouth... when all the other tastes were memorable for good reasons.

It was our first time visiting a tea room and we were lucky to get in a few days before they shut for the relocation. Service and the experience were wonderful and we look forward to visiting the new location.

Teaberry's Tea Room represents a bygone era, charmingly so. Sadly it will now be closed for a period of time while it relocates. We would hope that when it returns it will come back with its charm intact. I will say at the outset that Teaberry's is not the sort of place I would seek out: indeed I was one of only three men in attendance during our visit: my wife and I joined a good friend to celebrate and commemorate the life of his wife. My wife had a gift certificate for Teaberry's from our dear friend.Teaberry's is comfortable, featuring a Victorian elegance. The staff is knowledgeable and competent. This makes for the first contradiction: there are reviews in which the staff is praised, others call it rude. Teaberry's has a formula: reserved and refined service. Our waitress knew what to recommend, and was sure to fill our orders with special requests. No bubbly pronouncements, no detailed life story: just good service. The food is excellent, prepared with care from quality ingredients. My wife and our friend had quiche, I had a shrimp salad served on a croissant. This is another contradiction: portions were reasonable: Teaberry's caters more to women than men, and portions reflect that reality. Complaints of small portions and pricey offerings ignore the experience Teaberry's seeks to create. Prices are reasonable, and reflect the quality of the food.Although it has several small rooms, none are cramped, and we found conversation easy in spite of the fact that we shared the room with several other parties. Parking can be a bit of a challenge, but not insurmountable. I am interested in seeing how this will be addressed in the new location. For a unique dining experience, try Teaberry's Tea Room. We wish them well in their new location. We'll certainly return when they reopen.

Very disappointing! A big fat zero! We were so looking forward to visit the tea room again having been there about 11 years ago. We made a special trip of over an hour. We arrived at 3:40 to be rudely told that they are closed. No accommodations, no flexibility and mostly no manners. The daughter who is now running the place is (deliberately?) trying to run the place to the ground. The staff seem terrorized by her…feel so sorry for them. She is riding her mother’s coattail through dirt. Absolutely clueless about customer service. We vented our frustration to some patrons who had just left the place, and they, too, agreed that the daughter lacks people skills. Not knowing how to deal with people (and staff) is a guarantee that she will fail at anything she touches. We returned to our hotel room and read the reviews. What a horror show! Happy we did not waste our money even had they let us in. We will be sharing our experience with everyone we know. A case study of how to destroy a business.

I came in with a party of three today for 3 o’clock reservations. Normally we enjoy coming to Teaberry’s, but I did not have a good experience today. They are usually good about my life-threatening peanut/tree nut allergy, and I did inform the server beforehand to let the kitchen staff know, but I was served pecans on top of my salad. I had almost taken a bite out of the salad, but luckily spotted them. I ended up not eating my meal because I was too anxious about any sort of cross-contamination or mistakes again. I understand it was busy, but for someone with a severe allergy, it was a scary experience that could’ve ended in a hospital visit or death. I am not sure if I will be returning after this.

Wow, what a wonderful place to celebrate my teenage daughter's birthday with my mom and friends. Elizabeth was the best waitress imaginable!

My wife and I met some friends today at Teaberry’s for brunch. Greeted right away by the hostess and taken to our table. Our waitress Elizabeth was full of energy and very knowledgeable about the menu and the long list of teas. She made it an extremely fun and enjoyable time! Between each course another young lady Gianna made sure we had room on the table for what seemed to be never ending delicious food! These girls were extremely friendly! Been here quite a few times which have always been great! But these two girls really hit the high note with service! Can’t wait to come back and visit with them again soon! Hopefully before closing to move to the new location!

After visiting many tea rooms across NJ, Teaberry’s proves once again to be second to none. Went early today on a whim with a friend who had never been without reservations and we were lucky to get in. It’s an experience not to be missed and I wanted her to try it before they move to their new location. I’ve had several birthday celebrations for my daughters here and we still cherish those memories. Sara knows what she’s doing and the quality and consistency with each visit is impressive. I look forward to enjoying their talents at their new location. Good luck Sara and see you soon.Parking: convenient

I’ve heard so many good things about Teaberry’s that I wanted to give them a try! Unfortunately their customer service for small parties is terrible. The first time I tried making a reservation for two people, I called a month in advance. A week before the date, they let us know our reservation was cancelled due to a bridal shower. So we called again to reschedule for a new date, again a month in advance. Again, Teaberry’s let us know our reservation was cancelled. We called back to try and reschedule for a third time and they said they were closing for renovation and relocation. They apologized and asked if we could come on a different day. When we said we couldn’t, they hung up on us!! Rest assured that Teaberry’s will not be getting my money anytime soon.

We celebrate our friend’s surprise birthday On Saturday. The place was packed but very organized. Rees was so patient and helpful with us during the party and taking the order. It was little bit confusing for me how is their menus worked but she explained it for the 5th time patiently. Loved most of the items in the menu. As a tea drinker they have a great selection of teas.

I am very disappointed to say that my Mom and I will never be patrons at Teaberry's again, no matter their location. At the end of June, my Mom booked my Bridal Shower for August 26th. This past Friday, she visited Teaberry's with my fiancé's two Aunts to eat lunch and plan the shower. I was so excited to have my shower at Teaberry's! Yesterday, we found out on FB about the restaurant's plans to move, as well as the many yard sales taking place - including the yard sale on the day of and during my booked Bridal Shower. As both my Mom and I were very surprised to learn this news, my Mom called Sara to ask about parking (the announcement stated it would be at the carriage house and patio) as well as decor and menu inside the house (the announcement also stated that the last day of service would be only two days after the shower.) My Mom was very nice on the phone (I was standing right next to her), however Sara was not. Sara told my Mom that she was "over-reacting" and that guests could "park in the municipal lot." This is quite problematic as we have a grandmother with mobility issues. Furthermore, when my Mom simply stated that she wished Sara had told her about the planned move so we could plan accordingly, Sara rudely told her, "I don't have to tell you anything!" Sara's responses and tone were completely unprofessional and downright nasty. After being spoken to like that, my Mom then informed Sara that we would be canceling the Bridal Shower. Although the invitations have been sent, and the decor ordered, I would not step foot inside Teaberry's now if someone paid me. Sara had no right to speak to my Mom in the way she did, and frankly, owes my Mom an apology. Thankfully, we have found another place with a very nice coordinator who will add to the happiness of this event, not take away from it. Sara - you have my Mom's number and I hope you use it to simply apologize for talking that way to my Mom. I have met your Mom several times, and I think you would feel the same way if someone treated her like you treated my Mom yesterday. We have been patrons of Teaberry's for 10 years but will no longer support their business.
