Hangry Joe's Hot Chicken & Wings

Never had a bad experience here until yesterday, we ordered (takeout) two mild chicken sandwiches as we had numerous times before. The buns were hard and stale, the chicken had zero heat (although it looked fine) and the slaw was also different. Really hoping this was a one off and they didn't change anything. If I go back I'll probably try to eat in just in case it's a repeat.

It's honestly amazing! The chicken sandwiches were amazingly big and very flavourful. For kids I recommend either getting just the single sando Jr. , the kids meal, or the combo. They are all very filling and just simply one of the best chicken sandwiches ever. I would definitely recommend everyone to visit at least once and you'll be blown away.

Chicken is awesome—fresh, crispy, and consistent every time I’ve been. The buffalo blue cheese chicken is definitely worth trying and feels a bit underrated on the menu. Great balance with the blue cheese, and it all comes together really well.

Also HIGHLY recommend the honey butter waffle fries. Not something you see everywhere, but they’re a great mix of sweet and tangy and surprisingly addictive. Easy add-on that’s definitely worth it!!

This is the 3rd Hangry Joe's, I've been to and it was disappointing, about half the amount of chicken and it tasted a bit stale.

Recommended dishes: Loaded Fries, Mac and Cheese

Food is good. Chicken is the star here. Do not order the mac and cheese. It's just Kraft mac and cheese. The service was excellent and an issue we had was taken care of immediately. The major issue I noticed is the customer facing areas of the restaurant don't look clean. They need to do a deep clean and put some TV's in there to make it more of a welcoming place for customers to sit and eat. The interior has no personality, it's shabby.

Best friend chicken sandwich I've had in new jersey. I live 25 mins away from here but always trying to find an excuse to drive by and pick up their sandwich. Looks like they're using chicken breast but it's so juicy and not dry at all.

Today I ordered the chicken bites and wings — they were extremely delicious, crispy, and perfectly cooked. The service was very fast and the staff was friendly. The restaurant was also very clean and hygienic, which I really appreciate. I absolutely loved the food and the overall experience. Highly recommend this place — you all should definitely visit!

We ordered 24 wings. Half wing-zing half dry rub cheese. Tried a bunch of the sauces…it just was okay. Could be me…I encourage you to try for yourself but my wife and didn’t enjoy it. We did get takeout…maybe it’s better dine-in. Waffle fries were what you would expect…coleslaw was meh.

They have fried okra and I loved it, and they gave me extra in the bag. Mac n cheese I won’t order again, cole slaw was just ok.
Also they had a big sign up that said Nashville Hot Chicken, and I was like oooh this is Nashville Hot Chicken the cashier had no idea what I was talking about lol … so I don’t think they eat what’s on the menu or even know it well. But it was clean and they were fast.

I revisited around a week ago and the food was delicious, the fries specially was perfect, the wrap sandwich and the nuggets were all so good. The quantity of food is always great. The staff were very helpful and nice to us too. And the food is halal too.

I remember when this place first opened and I used to get it all the time… I don’t know now , I went Friday that just passed and I came to pick up my chicken salad, no heat which is usually done right but yesterday it was dry and either over cooked or refried. The chicken was hard and not good at all. I experienced something like that before but to get it again I knew that something was off. I also noticed the staff was not the staff I usually seen. If they want to keep Hangry joes quality, they have to fry it fresh every time. Do not pre fry and drop again when someone orders takeout. Eventually it catches up to the establishment as sending over the phone orders out any type of way. It didn’t sit long as I was only 7 minutes away and it takes about 12 minutes to make because I was there when they started. For me to come and it was already, ready, I see why. I will try again but cook can’t cut corners. Thank you.
