I’ve tried a few ramen places around new jersey, but this one stands out. The soup is flavorful without being salty, the noodles are cooked just right, and the staff always greet you with a smile.Definitely a neighborhood favorite japanese food.

The soup is rich but not too heavy, and the noodles always have just the right amount of firmness. The staff is incredibly friendly, making you feel like a regular even on your first visit. This place has quickly become one of my favorites. I highly recommend their japanese ramen in new jersey, as it's incredibly flavorful.

If you’re craving japanese food in fort lee, this is the place to go. I wasn’t expecting much, but the flavor totally surprised me. The ramen portions are generous and the broth has real depth.Service was chill and not pushy at all, which I appreciate. I’ll be back for sure.

I stopped by this japanese ramen spot in fort lee and honestly, it hit the spot. The broth was rich without being too heavy, and the noodles had that perfect chewy bite. The place itself feels casual and welcoming super comfortable. The staff was friendly and quick, which made the whole experience even better.

Lovely ramen shop with really delicious ramen! I'm not a huge ramen follower but this was the first ramen shop that really pulled me in with the flavors and texture of the noodles, it was so enjoyable.

I ordered the spicy Panpon ramen with the spice on the side. I add the spice which was part dry and part paste and it was not to spicy, flavors were amazing.

We also got the Gypza appetizer and the special squid on a stick with mayo dipping sauce, very delicious.

The Batten ramen and miso ramen were also both very good. The miso ramen was probably the safest bet if you are not adventurous, more like a miso/chicken both, it was good but I'd encourage you to explore the other flavors.

I had one of the worst dining experiences here. I accidentally spilled soup all over myself, which even burned me, and not a single staff member came over to check if I was okay or offer any assistance. Instead, they were all standing together in a corner chatting with each other. I tried calling out to place an order several times, but no one paid attention or responded. Later, when I went to use the restroom, there was a group of people blocking the hallway, making it difficult to pass. The overall service was completely unprofessional and uncaring. I would strongly advise avoiding this place — there are plenty of other restaurants where staff actually care about their customers’ well-being.

I was lucky to find a delicious Japanese restaurant.Came here on a rainy afternoon and it hit the spot. I ordered a spicy miso ramen and it had the right kick without being overwhelming. Loved the little details, like the bamboo shoots and fresh green onions. Plus, the place is super clean and has a chill vibe.

My husband and I stepped in here randomly while we were wandering around the area. I'm a sucker for curry katsu, so when I saw it on the menu, I was sold. My guy felt the same way about the oyako don (which is more affectionately called 'parent and child', after the inclusion of both chicken and egg in the dish, served atop rice).

We're the kind of people who step into a ramen shop and order the non-ramen entrees. I'm fully believing that that's why we had such an 'okay' experience compared to all the rave reviews. Nothing was particularly bad, but neither did anything on our plates elicit a 'wow'. I knew my katsu was freshly fried from the heat, but it lacked the crunch that I love in a good cutlet. It was also an incredibly large portion of rice on the plate, which made it look like a more generous portion of food than it actually was. The husband gave similar noncommittal shrugs after finishing his dish.

Service, however, was fantastic from start to finish. Our server checked in on us the 'just right' number of times, and we never had to wait long for anything we needed.

Something that I feel also has to be mentioned about Batten Ramen is their incredible collection of manga. It's along the side of their restaurant, and I nearly missed it until I made a trip to the restroom. I know it doesn't add or detract from the quality of the food, but the sheer number of titles on the shelf gave the restaurant such personality.

This place is awesome. Came here with my gf after watching a movie down the street and left satisfied. Everything was cooked perfectly and would definitely come back. We ordered the Shiawase Aori Miso Ramen and I asked for it spicy, Katsu Curry, Wasabi Crunch, and the Ika Geso Kushiage. Syrah was friendly and very informative about the dishes, and the chef is constantly smiling and waving at the customers from the kitchen window.

Shiawase Aori Miso Ramen 8.2/10
Katsu Curry 7.7/10
Wasabi Crunch 8.7/10
Ika Geso Kushiage 8/10

This place is wheelchair accessible. I’m not sure if there are vegetarian options for you vegetarians out there.
