Terrible cold noodle. It just isn't good. Do not waste your money at this place. The old man is also very grumpy and unfriendly.

Tried the boiled beef (suyuk) along with the spicy and regular cold noodles. The warm broth they serve on the side was actually really good. Overall, the food was just very average — nothing special.

Coming from a 50 year old person who’s been to many three-star Michelin restaurants around the world, I’d implore you to ignore the negative reviews. This is the best expression of cold Korean noodles in the area (including NyC Koreatown) by far. More than that, everything on their menu reminds me of home cooking as if your Korean grandma was a Korean version of Gordan Ramsey cooking for you at home without the pomp and circumstance.

Cold noodle broth, in particular, is all about nuance and depth. For the reviewers who are negative, with due respect, I think they miss the point. It’s easy to make something sweet and sour. But it’s hard to make something deep and nuanced - and this is especially true for Korean cold noodles. And this place does that in spades because they take a long time to make their bone broth which is essential to cold noodles.

But again it’s not just about cold noodles. All dishes that are based on bone broth is excellent here.

You owe yourself a visit. Keep an open mind. Don’t think “big portions” and “explosive flavors”. Think depth and authenticity. And if you keep that in mind, I think you will agree with me that this is a gem.

This was a really disappointing meal because I felt really unwelcome despite the actual cold noodles being ok. I came in craving naengmyun on a random afternoon at around 4 PM – the place was a ghost town with maybe one other table occupied, so it’s not like I was taking up valuable real estate during a lunch rush. So there were 10+ empty tables. From the moment I sat down, the owners treated me like I’d personally offended their ancestors by daring to order a single dish to share with my boyfriend. I was getting death stares as I lifted my chopsticks because I was apparently committing an unforgiven sin to step in for a snack during off hours. despite paying $22 for a bowl of noods?

Honestly, the service was frostier than the noodles....When I walked out, the old man even shook his head at me! I don’t understand why they’re trying so hard to shame their customers. If someone’s coming in at an awkward time to share a single dish, it’s clearly meant as a snack. If you don’t want people coming in for snacks, either don’t open your doors at off-hours (like other restaurant that are closed between lunch and dinner), or clearly specify a minimum order requirement on your menu. Or just come at me rather than glare and shake your head in a passive (but very aggressive) manner. Bad vibes....

Terrible service...

Girlfriend and I stopped by at 3pm on a Saturday and the place was completely empty. We ordered one large nengmyun to share since we weren’t that hungry and figured it wouldn’t be a problem. The owner questions us about getting one item to which we reply that yeah, we only want one for now because we're not that hungry and ask if we can have a sharing plate. We tell him we might get more later if that's alright since it's an awkward time to which he doesn't respond but audibly sighs and backs up while glaring at us.

When it was time to pay, no one came over so I went up to the counter. The owner tosses my check at me without looking up. Weird, but ultimately i'm not bothered, and I pay and even leave a 20% tip. At this point, the guy snatches the pen away from where I put it down and slams it down, finally looking up just to glare at me without a word. I'm still not too bothered, but finally as we're leaving, this man stands up, glares at us, takes a step towards us, crosses his arms and comically starts shaking his head at us and looking us up and down like he's some 깡패 (korean gangster). We're standing there appalled and I ask him in Korean if there's a problem, which he ignores, just continuing his head shaking. I walk up to him and say clearly say, still using 존댓말 (polite language), that if there's a problem he should tell us. He ignores me and just keeps looking down at us so I kind of shrug and leave. Super, super weird.

Very confusing, and easily the most hostile service I’ve ever had. If it sounds funny reading this, it kind of was, but in person it was super off putting and so aggressive for no reason. There's no place for that kind of behavior. We're not some savages and I treated the old man with respect and spoke to him with deference in korean only for him to treat me and my girlfriend like we were some animals. There's nowhere on the menu that says one entree per person is necessary even though seemingly that would solve all their problems.

Do not recommend. Can't run a business like that.

Solid spot for Korean cold noodles and more. The restaurant is very clean and spacious inside. I've had their spicy cold noodles in the past and really enjoyed them--great flavor and just the right level of heat. On a recent visit, my husband and I tried the gamja tang and seol lung tang, and both were satisfying and well-prepared. Prices are reasonable, the service is friendly, and the restaurant itself is very clean with plenty of parking. They also serve Korean side dishes and a comforting bone broth soup, which is a nice touch. Overall, a reliable and tasty option for Korean comfort food.

Came in for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon right as they opened and sat down right away. Ordered the yook gae jang (spicy beef and vegetables soup) it came with a side of rice. Everything about it was amazing. The broth was so rich and the texture of the meat was just perfect.
