LELU Patisserie is a high-quality bakery with a clean, well-furnished interior, modern lighting, and a quiet, inviting atmosphere. The desserts are very high-quality and moderately sweet, with professional texture in the croissants, which have a very nice layered crust. The coffee is on the traditional end, a strong Italian style dark roast. Specific pastries include the Pear Vanilla Almond Tart, which is appropriately rich without being heavy, and the pretty Exotic Passion Fruit, an entremet with tart gelatin. The service is amazing, with baristas who go above and beyond to make sure each drink is exactly how the customer prefers it. Staff are helpful with recommendations for limited items. Prices are on par with Manhattan. This bakery is a gem in a sea of many bakeries, rivaling shops in France and New York.
