I am enjoying an Easy and Smooth,
✨️ Summer
in Fortescue.
Higbee's Luncheonette is a Fun
Friendly good food old school
Place. 👍
Down home cooking
Good oysters and prices. But no bathroom (Johnny outside) no air-conditioned
I love this place! The food is always good, and the staff are all so nice. The menu is very simple, the place is tiny and full of bric-a-brac, and there is a clowder of very amusing cats that will escort you from the back parking lot to the door if they have nothing better to do. The crab and lobster bisque was out of this world good, and the first cup of coffee always goes down quick.
Love their home fried potatoes.
Great breakfast and lunch spot. Stayed in Fortescue for 4 days and got breakfast or lunch there every day. The flounder sandwich was the most fresh I ever tasted. Generous portions and reasonable priced. Highly recommend. Will come back to visit just for them!

Small town / family ran food spot with delicious breakfast, cool and informative decorations, and souvenirs. The best part about this place is Tori, the waitress. She's such a ray of sunshine and will start your morning off with cheer.

I've been coming to Higbees since I was a kid. My server was so nice today and breakfast hit the spot. I also got an Italian sub to go which I enjoyed for lunch.

Stopped in with a few friends. A hidden gem! It is so charming, warm and inviting. Counter seating at a legit old time luncheonette. You walk in, take a seat and the wonderful staff gets to work!
The food is delicious and the portions are massive. I had the clam boat, only $11. The cole slaw was creamy and seasoned perfectly. Definitely homemade. It was so yummy😋! The service was fast. I forgot to snap pics of the menu.
Great prices! Family owned and operated. If you happen to be in Fortescue make sure you stop in, you won't be disappointed!

We have been a customer for many years. The atmosphere is a perfect mix of retro diner, maritime nostalgia and home town coziness. The owners treat you like family and it’s the same with each person that walks in for a meal.We love it! And when life seems a little hectic, we take a drive to Fortescue to visit this old friend, just to step back a little and be in the moment.Try the Oysters ?

A great place to stop. Good fresh salads and sandwiches. Fish platters are frozen battered seafood so not great. Seating is around a counter, so excellent conversation with other diners (not the place for an intimate meal for two). Good to get to know local news.
Loved it.
