A local institution. I've lived in area 52 years and watched them deservedly grow. Whether it's prepared food, the delicatessen, fresh meats and fish or the bakery and cheese departments, they are the best around. Not surprised when I see acquaintances who live a fair distance away who tell me they make the trip because there is no store around that matches them.
Excellent local place, not only for the premade food but also famous from Catering. This is truly heaven for cheese and meat/ fish lovers. Everything here at any given time is fresh, delicious and top of the line. There were snowy nights we did not know what to get and ended up here and went home with bags full of delicious food or a sunny hot, summer day when you truly dint want t to pick but still you find just the perfect fit here at the Market Basket. Everything is always fresh and tasty here from the deli department sandwiches, salads grilled chicken salad couscous salad to sushi to meatloaf to soups love this place not cheap but well worth it
