Persis Biryani & Indian Grill, Franklin Park

As soon as we entered in the restaurant, we were greeted nicely by Agnelo and Ruben. They accommodated our request and we were given a table that we wanted. We ordered Persis special chicken biryani, chicken 65, veg dum biryani, plain dosa and mango lassi. Food was amazing. We specially loved Persis special chicken biryani. Other dishes were good too. They also adjusted spice level to our kid’s taste. Great food and great service. Highly recommend this place.

“Pathetic” , yes pathetic is the right word.I ordered veg dum biryani, paneer butter masala and Gobi manchurian.Never had such a bad biryani, it was combination of uncooked and overcooked veggies. Taste was really bad.It seems Paneer butter masala was the frozen curry from any Indian grocery store.And similar story goes with Gobi manchurian, you can see raw uncooked big gobi pieces.Not a single item was good.Please avoid this place and save your money.

I had special biryani here, I feel like color rice mixed with chilli flavor, rice is also not fresh and not hot. No biryani smell, literally pathetic biryani I had today.

1 star is way more than this restaurant deserves tbh. I have never had food that tastes as bland as it is at this restaurant. Being very honest, I didn’t have much expectation from this restaurant but it is another thing to disappoint more than whatever was expected. I would not recommend anyone this restaurant and i would strongly suggest these guys to shut down the restaurant to not malign the name of south asian culture and their cuisine any further.

So we ended up coming here as a back up option because spice rack was booked and the food here was just OK. Nothing special. The naan were basically chips I don’t understand why they were so crispy. The subzi was alright.. but the gobi 65 was pretty good.. not to mention they ran out of Paneer/chicken tikka masala which is just a big like what at an Indian restaurant..also they need to update lighting in the women’s bathroom Becusse randomly the light shut off & After turning it on/off a couple times that’s when it came back on.I want to give it a 1/5 but I’m giving it a two because the server was really nice.. & he did accommodate 9 people but the restaurant was empty. Maybe I’d give it a go for lunch just never dinner again.

We ordered chicken 65,Gobi Manchurian and chicken biryani. It was just amazing. Thanks to the new management. The food quality got better after that. Even the quantity of food is good. We loved it ❤. Just one suggestion they should add soup in the menu.

The Biryani and sabzi was good in taste but we got plastic pieces in our food. The server accepted but was not very apologetic about it. Overall it was a poor experience for us. It was our first time and mostly our last time.

Like many Indian restaurants, this place also skimping on quantity. Butter chicken $15, all curry, maybe five pieces of chicken. It's sad. I support local, eat local. What happened to your integrity? Is it delivery that you decided to cheat - the customer is not going to complain because it's delivery? What if we all stop ordering?

ordered delivery through uber-eats, worst food from persis , been a regular customer since 3yrs, covid must have brought you quality down , missed my order too.Never again

Terrible food… post pandemic… The food was good pre pandemic, but post pandemic I had the food twice, it was terrible I had to throw it away literally…

Very well organised and welcoming restaurant. They serve big portions and for economical rates. I enjoyed the food a lot and the staff were super affable and explanatory. I recommend this place.

I usually don't write reviews but this food compelled me to write one.The new management is really good. The naan's where so flavorful and soft. The entrees where so good.. chicken and lamb was super good.

The chicken dum biryani and chicken boneless biryani that I had today was very bad... there was no taste and no salt as well.... I also ordered chili chicken but that was also too bad no taste in that...I used to have biryani over here in the past it was awesome but now it’s worst biryani i had it in my life.Sorry guys but I had to write this review so that they can improve and come back to the original taste.

Food was incredible! Highly recommend the curries and bullet naan!
