If I could give it a zero I would. New ownership is horrible. The ice cream is not the same. It’s old and has a weird taste. I love carvel and I keep coming back to give it another chance but it disappoints every time. Won’t be coming back sadly.

Good location. However, why do they have tables and chairs there? There are folks that spend hours hanging in Carvel? I think it's frickin weird.
They are under new ownership and are so much better then the previous owners!

I recently gave this Carvel another shot from a year ago and found out that it is under new ownership. They have made major improvements by investing into new equipment and machinery. Racel is a wonderful young woman who handmakes the cakes and ice cream, and she is just amazing. She always greets people with a smile. The ice creams, ice cream cakes, and flying saucers are rich and creamy, smooth and soft, and they melt in your mouth. They have a variety of ice cream flavors and toppings to indulge the whole family.
These ice cream cakes are superior to the ones bought in supermarkets. These are made fresh every 10 to 14 days, as opposed the ones sitting in a freezer for months. The quality of ice cream is even better. You can really taste the different flavors and the crunches are fresher too! You can even purchase additional crunches to take home! I bought a big cup for my family and they didn't last the night! They were delicious.
Whether you need a quick cake for a special occasion, a custom cake for an event, or just want some great ice cream, you should definitely come here.

OMG! For me and my spouse birthday today(1/4), we got the extra royal treatment from the amazing Rachel!! She was such a delight, just like the tasty flying sauces she recommended (Chocolate with coco sprinkles and the vanilla with rainbow sprinkles). She was nice, bubbly, and patient. So glad Julia ( awesome owner) has Rachel as an employee!!! Great location, great hours, great customer service, clean, and variety of choices!!

Used to go there all the time for ice cream in the past, went there today for ice cream (got a peanut butter cup dasher, Oreo carvelanche and a banana split) and will not be going back. When they were making them barely any toppings went in the dasher, was mostly vanilla ice cream, no fudge or barely any peanut butter. For the banana split they would not do hard ice cream, only soft vanilla. The carvelanche there was mainly just vanilla ice cream barely any topping and the Oreo cookie was stale.

Customer service was the only reason I even bought what I did. Their ice cream is not smooth, its frost bitten and has pieces of ice in it. Seems like the owner tried to take old ice cream and mix it with things to make it taste less like the freezer. The freezers with the cakes have frozen over and have a black ice monster sitting on the cakes. It doesn't even have that fresh ice cream carvel smell. If this is the nearest carvel, travel further or you'll be disappointed.
