“I’m in the area for just one night and needed to figure out where I could get a quick dinner. I saw Sophie’s Bistro and after getting a recommendation from a colleague, I made a reservation. It’s a really casual place; not pretentious in any way, but the bartender was both talented and conversational and made something off menu to enjoy. For dinner, I decided on French Onion Soup and Steak Frites and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Besides this, the bread service they bake in house is amazing and I learned about the owner and how he treats his people and that made me even happier that I came in. I wish we had a place like this where I live; I would be there all the time. I’m not sure when I’ll be back in the area, but next time I’m near Somerset, I know where I’ll do dinner. Give it a try, you’ll be happy”

“Stopped in for lunch. Atmosphere was comfortable. My server Jutay was amazing, very positive attitude. Had the soup of the day with fresh squeezed lemon, which elevated the taste even more. My burger was juicy and flavorful. My only suggestion would be to have those in the dining room, not be listening to their phone on speaker. I plan on visiting again!!”

“We finally made our long awaited stop here and both decided the Dirty Burger would get us the best of what they have to offer. Perfect beef patties with their truly unique Taylor Ham (not Pork Roll) Jam and their Rock Sauce- it was superb. Their Cheese curds and corn fritters were a nice compliment to the star of the show. A perfectly blended Banana Pudding with Oreo Milkshake (which they happily made to my custom request) was a perfect follow on to the meal. For friendly staff, clean and happy atmosphere and most importantly, delicious American food we will most certainly be back for more!!”

“I own a luncheonette right up the road from Dominick's and at the end of the day, after cooking all day, when I head home, I often stop for dinner. GREAT owner. And the food is good. I had a Sicilian slice tonight that was so good. Haven't had a good slice of Sicilian in a long time. The crust is amazing. Soft, THICK, yet light and crispy too!! Flavor also amazing. Also had a meatball on top of spaghetti all covered in sauce!! I honestly would have eaten the meatball if it had rolled off on the floor! Not just because how good it tastes, but because the place is VERY clean!!! 5 stars for sure!!”

“Make no mistake, this is 5-star pizza. Get a few “personal” pizzas for variety: a cheese, a white, and maybe a mushroom or pepperoni - well done. Absolutely the best in Somerset area. If you stop there for lunch, their slices are quite big, you only need 1. And the chicken fingers are a MUST. We just love Amici’s. I recommend calling them directly and pick up, or ask for delivery. The owners are just great people. ?”

“Found this spot on the way home to get a quick pie for my fam. We love pizza so we barely deviate from our normal pizza spots. This is one of the best kept secrets in somerset NJ. We are pizza purists and we've tried a lot of different places, we're spoiled since NJ has a lot of really good quality spots. We've only had the plain pie from here, so cant really speak to anything else but we love it and this has been our top choice for the last few weeks.”

“I came here with my husband. Drinks were great. He ordered a Caesar salad and I ordered their Hot Nashville Chicken sandwich. My husband laughed because I had no idea that Nashville hot meant HOLY HOT lol. But I was not disappointed. This was the juicy, best chicken sandwich I'd had anywhere that I can recall in my 32 years.. And I worked in food service for 13 years. The service was also phenomenal. There was a rowdy bunch of younger ones at the bar that eventually got asked to leave. But she kindly let us know that we were welcome to move our table if we so desired. We are definitely coming back again.”

“Nice bar restaurant at the end of a round. We were there on a Wednesday and it was empty. We order BBQ knowing that it was not going to be fresh as the grills were not going. That said the brisket and pulled port were still good. The sweet potato fries were good as well. Little crispy. We both should have order the bbq souce on the side. Too much on for our taste but we should have asked. Great bar with a large selection of whiskey and bourbon. Service was great too. I would go back. Like to see how it is when it’s fresh.”

“Cafe Alfredo catered a wedding for our family for 100 people with short notice on 8/14. The food was delicious!!!! It felt like that menu was planned months ago. The food was fresh and hot! Our family that came from near and far was very complimentary on the taste and quality of the food. We had penne and vodka, chicken and eggplant parm, pasta and garlic, chicken francaise and my favorite of the night shrimp linguine Alfredo! “Shoutout to Michelle Rose for excellent service! This diner is a solid choice for breakfast. HIGHLY recommend the sausage (the hefty kind, not the thin links). French toast was on point. Pancakes were perfect. The steak for the Texas eggs benedict was cooked perfectly. I'm glad I had the hollandaise sauce on the side so I could control how much I wanted to add. Exceptionally reasonable prices. We'll definitely be back ❤️”

“Pierce Street Bagel has the best bagels in Somerset, by far: The texture and the taste of their bagel exceed both Kettleman’s (plump bagels with absolutely no taste), and Fast Bagel ( below average and chintzy). It is true what some people think of the service, but for me, there are no others that compare.”

“This has been our family's go-to spot for Chinese food. The food is great, and I have seen them prep using fresh ingredients and produce rather than using frozen bag veggies like other Chinese joints.”

“Love their chicken wings. Best flavor in the area. The females in there could work on their customer service skills. I would also like to recommend that napkins should be given as a default. Recently ordered 2 days in a row from here and had to ask for napkins because food was packed without.”

“Stopped in on Friday and the place was packed. We got a table ordered a beer and was surprised by how fast the beer came considering the crowd. At 6:00 we cashed out as our waitress Mary leaving. We couldn’t ask for a more attentive waitress. The next shift found us with Kelsey. She never stopped smiling. We never waited for anything. She was just there all the time. We ordered off the happy hour menu. Three different items and an all were served fast and delicious. The only thing is I would recommend coming Wednesday if you’re just coming for happy hour. It’s not as crowded as a little quieter. But the service and food were great.”

“Tried it a second time, and the food is very fresh and consistent.

First time trying Sonic. Wanted to try out the breakfast menu and compare the food quality with other fast food. I must say that the quality is very good, less greasy and salty compared to Mickys and BK. The eggs were fresh, and the tater tots were tasty and crunchy and not dripping in old oil. They seem like Sonic changes the oil more frequently. Price is also more affordable than Mickey and BK.
We will need to try again to check if the quality is consistent.”

“Franklin has a Starbucks! Who woulda thought? Riverdale-Kinnelon-Butler on 23 don't have one. And this one has the ambrosia that is Nitro Cold Brew! Cold stuff cold, hot stuff hot. Quick service except peak times when EVERYBODY lines up.Still great in 2024, right on 23 (southbound side, at light). Convenient access, very friendly staff.”
