Doesn't look like much on the outside, but very clean inside, staff was super-friendly, portions were large, and the best pancakes I've had in many years!

I've gone there now 3 times in one week... you can't beat this place. The coffee is by far some of the best I've had. The service is amazing... Laura is an exceptional waitress. The food, in my opinion, for diner food ....5 stars!!! Will be back again

Franklin Diner is the perfect spot to grab a quick bite to eat or to sit down with some friends and enjoy the meal. I ordered the pastrami Reuben, which came with a side of fries and a pickle. I sat down and enjoyed my meal on Monday, March 25. The diner is located in Franklin, with plenty of parking available in the lot out front. It was also 5 pm on a Monday, so not the busiest time. The service was excellent as I was greeted by Laura, my server, who catered to all my needs during my dining experience. Laura was attentive, checking in a couple of times and making sure I had everything I needed. The wait to get seated was none, and the wait to receive my food must have been under 10 minutes. The sandwich was packed with tender, smoky pastrami, melted Swiss, tangy sauerkraut, and just the right amount of Russian dressing, all grilled between slices of crispy rye bread. The fries were hot and crispy, exactly how they should be, and the pickle added a nice crunch on the side. I’d be lying if I said it was my first time at Franklin Dinner, but they never seem to disappoint. I'm not sure if Franklin Diner offers gluten-free options, but their menu didn’t seem to highlight any; I could be wrong. I asked about student discounts, and they confirmed that they don’t offer one for Rutgers students. Can’t wait to make it back to Franklin Dinner!

Tried this out for breakfast. Pretty good as NJ diners go. The food was just OK but the service something to write home about; very pleasant staff. A little pricey for the type of food served although not out of the ordinary for restaurants in this area. The posted menu must be from many years ago as prices were actually as much as 50% higher.

Food used to be so much better. Called and ordered Takeout and when i arrived, the food was on a stool by the bar. Then after the 5 min drive home, the food was ice cold. When i took it out of the foil to rewarm it i noticed that a pastrami melt was literally 4 pieces of pastrami on rye bread. It was literall6y pastrami with no melt. For the $14 for that sandwich i could have made 5 at home.

I would leave 0 stars if possible. This food was so disgusting and bland. There was no seasoning at all not even a hint of alt or pepper. Just a bunch of potatoes and eggs slapped on the grill and then into a platter. It was not tasty at all and the eggs were watery and had a thick piece of cheese on top. The bacon was hard and burnt I would never recommend this place to anyone not sure how they have 4.4 stars. It’s beyond me the review must be fake and pumped up. Do not waste your money at this establishment a waste of time energy and money.
