I order from here atleast 2-3 times a week. It’s fast and convenient and usually pretty good. Today I ordered steamed chicken and broccoli and literally got 3 pieces of chicken. I called back and let them know about the order and the women was arguing me over the phone (Like I said this is a place I order from often so I really didn’t want to complain but this was ridiculous) While on the phone with the women she acted as if she couldn’t hear me and hung up on me. I called back and once again she acted like she couldn’t hear me and I finally said to her “are you going to keep acting like you can’t hear me” and right away she started answering me back because she could clearly hear me the whole time. The women then proceeded to tell me that if I want more chicken I need to ask for it. But for $13 I don’t think 3 pieces of chicken is acceptable. They do not have any customer service and honestly the only reason I even go to this place is because my normal Chinese restaurant on Hamilton st has new owners. I will not be going back there anymore. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

The one lady (I’m assuming the owner) was super rude & slammed my receipt on the counter because I was a few cents short. She also slammed my food on the counter when I walked back in. The dumplings were given to me in a round container that had a hole on the cap. Dumplings were not all that. China Chef on Easton Ave by Planet Fitness is so much better and customer service is way more friendly! It’s also a few dollars more expensive than China Chef.

I used to buy the General Tso's shrimp a lot until they decreased the amount of shrimp from 12 shrimp to 9 shrimp. Arranged it differently in the container with more broccoli. It's the 1st thing I noticed. I haven't purchased it since.

I was uncomfortable there. I needed clarity as to why the price of my order was so high because the price on the menu online and in the store was different. So I was a little confused at first but then the lady who took my order explained it to me and I realized that the prices were different on the actual menu compared to my receipt. There was no argument. There was no loud talking or anything like that. However, a man came up to the front from the back and just stood there in front of me. I don't know why he felt the need to do that, but it felt very aggressive and like an attempt to intimidate.

the food here is good, i just have a problem with the prices and portions. if you order takeout, youre aware the containers have been shrinking and the prices rising. personally i cant justify a 12-15$ dish that is not filling, i dont own a restaurant but i imagine its not worth shorting noodles and rice.

I hadnt been there in a while and stopped in for some appetizers. I must say that the wonton soup was very good and the egg rolls were great. These things can differ widely from one chinese place to another and some of them put very little effort into them. This was different and was appreciated.

I've tried to overlook the rude behavior of the woman at the counter at this local Chinese restaurant for a while now, but this last visit was beyond unacceptable. As someone who hires people in the service industry, I understand the importance of basic politeness like a greeting or a simple 'thank you.' Everyone else at the restaurant has been friendly, but she is consistently rude. Perhaps she reserves her rudeness for 'certain types' of customers. Regardless, I will be taking my family's weekly Chinese food business elsewhere and will be advising my friends/family in Somerset to do the same. While the food is decent, it has been hit or miss since COVID, and it's certainly not worth putting up with such disrespectful service. If I spend $80 on Chinese food, a greeting, eye contact and a thank you is not too much to ask. My hard-earned money will be spent elsewhere.
