“We had a 50 person party yesterday I was pleasantly surprised with the buffet they put out for us and I have to give a HUGE shout out to Matt (I’m pretty sure that was his name. Big smile and his hair in a bun). He was the wait staff taking care of all of us and he killed it! Super pleasant and he worked his butt off to serve us all. If you get Matt, take good care of him!!!!“

“Was in the Newton area so I stopped to have some breakfast, a friend of mine recommended the Hampton diner so I went in to check it out.
Upon entering there was a beautiful Christmas tree.
Nice and spacious. Pleasant staff.
I had toasted bagel with Lox. Very good I should say the way the plate was decorated looked very appealing.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food --the calamari was excellent,absolutely fresh and very lightly fried. The pierogies were amazing; we also had a salad and the apple strudel -- both highly recommended. The ales were cool and just what we needed after a hot afternoon of hiking. The place has outdoor seating that overlooks the lake, and the indoor area is spacious and has a glass front. The service was friendly but it is the food that stood out the most. We will be back to try the schnitzels.“

“This place is so charming and the food is incredible!!! We sat outside and enjoyed pancakes with berries and the special sweet potato bowl with spinach, mushrooms and pulled pork. They also have espresso drinks and my cappuccino was served with a sprinkle of cinnamon, a lovely touch. This is a wonderful spot for breakfast or lunch“

“Carmine's is our go to place whenever we crave Italian or a cheesesteak. Husband and I were there yesterday for late lunch. Excellent pasta fagioli soup, huge slices of pizza, and overstuffed, cheesesteak. Great service and reasonable prices. We were informed there is an extra charge if you're not paying cash. This is becoming a common practice and we were informed of it. Server was excellent and made us feel welcome. I was asked if I knew of any pizza parlors served gluten free and of course I recommended Carmine's.“

“My husband and I celebrated our anniversary there last night. I requested to dine in one of their rooms. We were escorted to a small room where we enjoyed a wonderful dinner. Our waitress, Ava, was awesome. We were given a small complementary bottle of Processo which was so nice! We have been there many times before and never had a bad meal. The vintage decor there is fabolous! Highly recommended.“

The employees have changed over the years but they value customer satisfaction more than anything. They are always nice and respectful. Some don’t understand but they still handle customers much better than all restaurants in town.“

Given the caliber of the cuisine and service, the prices were fair. The portions were substantial without becoming intrusive. The window seat was soothing to have since a natural vista complemented the tastes, and the indoor ambiance was warm and pleasant.“
