Spent $37 for a small pizza and mozzarella sticks only to have the pizza arrive looking like this. There was hardly any cheese at all and the crust was soggy in the middle. The whole thing was a wreck.

Mateo’s is awesome! Highly recommend. We love their pizza/wraps and order here regularly. They do so much for the local community and it is noticed & appreciated. Very proud to give them my business!

Traveling for work, we were looking for Italian food and found Mateos with an amazing array of options, including gluten-free pasta. Absolutely amazing bolognese sauce.

Food took 2 hours to get here and cold, not even worth it. Called at 630, was told hour and 20. Arrived at 830 after calling twice. Actually insane because there’s is 10 other pizza options within freehold itself. Unsure how they are still in business.

Storefront pizza place in Freehold center. An extensive menu with about 30 pizza varieties, subs, sandwiches, appetizers, soups, salad, pasta, even burgers. I had plain slices, which were soupy and very limp, but with good classic pizza taste. Boatload of softdrinks, including soda, most major ice tea brands, Pellegrino, even Stewart's root beer and black cherry. About 10 tables in comfortable dining area. Friendly service.

Best pizza around. If you don't live close it's worth the drive to come get some of the best Food in in the tri-state ?. Owners are really great guys! Really friendly and treats Customers & Employees like Family! Always in a good mood joking with there employees and customers. Been to a few restaurants where the Management/Owners are just nasty to there employees. It's very refreshing to see how well everyone gets along! Wish I found out about this place sooner.

Parking: Free parking in the back unfortunately Freehold now charges for parking on Main Street & other certain pk lot's but not at Mateo's in the back pk lot.

Kid-friendliness: BYOB & your own kid's if you want ? Lol of course bring your kids & the whole family. Be sure to call ahead on Friday and Saturday sometimes it can fill up fast. It's that good ?

Wheelchair accessibility: Yes of course!
