I was in freehold today for an appointment and just had a playa craving. Didn’t realize until I got here that it’s in the mall. Same great service as your other locations I’ve been to. Nice to have a refreshing, healthier option in the mall food court. I also haven’t been to the mall in a few years so it’s nice to be here all decorated for the holidays too. Thank you

There was this girl I don’t know her name but she’s at work in her pajama pants with a dirty shirt I gave her simple instructions for what I asked for and the quality of the food was awful the Açaí base was watered and diluted down I couldn’t even eat it not to mention I asked for extra banana and paid for it just to get the portion of one banana I paid $15 to throw food away this was extremely unprofessional definitely not going there and won’t be recommending people to go there

Love playa but this place is the worst branch horrible time and when I reviewed they tried to trick me to change it with free rewards the food was SO SOGGY if your looking to go to playa go to the one next to the family dollar and donut shop that store has good food unless the freehold one changes I’ll just stick to starving cause it lt sucked so much

The food amazing, but the service? Straight-up embarrassing.
I walked in to find a group of teenage girls doing the absolute bare minimum—if that. No greetings, no smiles, just dead stares and thumbs flying across phone screens like they were getting paid to scroll, not serve.
They were practically welded to the counter, leaning like it was a lounge, not a workplace. The only time they showed any urgency? When the mall was closing—suddenly, they sprang to life to shut everything down like customers were interrupting their group chat.
If attitude could be bottled, this place would be fully stocked. Here’s a tip: if you hate being there that much, just clock out permanently.

I ordered açai bowl to go, I got it totally melted and almost no granola. inedible
tell me why the girls at the freehold mall working at play bowls tried charging me $18 for a strawberry and coconut milk base with strawberries, blueberries, bananas and extra nutella. $11 JUST for the custom base. then charged me an extra $1 for every topping including being charged twice for nutella (obv. fine with paying extra for the extra nutella). how is it so much when i got basically the same amount of stuff in the bowl just like the rest of the menu and the WHOLE menu ranged from $11 NO MORE than $14. the manager needs to make sure the employees are trained correctly cause this is insane for one bowl
