This is for the Seafood Buffet only. The food was delicious and plentiful, lots of choices and they made sure nothing stayed around too long. I particularly liked the seafood boil and the mussels marinara. Not sure if these are on the regular menu but if not it should be.Excellent cocktails made perfectly. One thing about it though No desert on the buffet. 2 drinks and 2 buffet meals $180 including tip. It’s noisy as heck but that’s nothing new for this place. The $5.00 + for parking is just a peeve of mine. That’s just Freehold. This buffet is scheduled to end next week, hopefully they will extend it as the place was busy.I did enjoy my night out here.Parking: Valet is available but there was plenty of metered parking very close by.

Everything went well. I had the shrimp and grits. Was fairly well with proper seasoning. I with the proportion was more. Drinks were good. The timing was slow especially when lunch time was dead. Not too much else to say negatively.

Don't bother with the seafood buffet. It was terrible. Chafing dishes not refilled in a timely manner. You are standing there waiting for them to refill. All photos on line are a joke. No oysters, no raw clams... you are lucky to get a peel and eat shrimp. Do disappointing and incredibly expensive for what it was.

I don't know what happened to this place over the last few years, but it's not somewhere I'll ever choose to go again. The last 3 times we went, it was just awful. It's unfortunate that the one great bartender can't clone himself and staff the place. The last time we went, we just wanted to have a beer. Couldn't get the attention of the two women behind the bar after waiting. No, it wasn't busy. We left. As we were leaving, a server blew right through the door past us. She wasn't holding anything, especially not the door for us. Rude. The time before that we wanted to sit outside since it was gorgeous out. They had some happy hour dishes that were not available outside. I asked if I could pay extra to sit outside and eat what looked like awesome choices, but no. None of the happy hour dishes are available on the regular menu which is just a shame because I saw nothing on the regular menu that I wanted. We had already ordered drinks, but you're not allowed to sit outside at certain tables with just drinks so we moved to the other side of the completely empty patio and went on our way when we finished them. I would think they would want to fill up some of those very sad and empty tables out there but what do I know.I'd go back to see Jackie the Jokeman, but not ever for a meal or now, even a drink. Makes me sad.

We had an 815 reservation on a Sunday night and, as we were getting served our coffee and awaiting desert about 90 minutes later, the bar tender walks into the restaurant and unceremoniously announced that the restaurant was closed, that the kitchen had closed 45 minutes earlier, and we were unlikey to get our desert which actually came out minutes later. To the apparent consternation of our server, who was excellent, he then turned off the lights to the restaurant and left us to find our way out in the dark. We did not get to finish our meal, barely got to pay, and this completely ruined what had been a delightful evening until then. It will be a long time before we return. Bottom line: if you are planning to go there less than 2 hours before the kitchen closes, let alone what was apparently 45 minutes before on a Sunday, think again.

Went to dinner with friends, drinks and food were amazing! Comedy show was the best! We laughed so hard, definitely need more late nights and laughs! Will definitely be back for another delicious meal!!!

We ate at the American Hotel The Standard on Sunday evening. The server was lovely. She was attentive but subtle. We had plenty of time to enjoy our drinks, appetizers and main course. They have a very versed wine list. The calamari was tender and served with tomato and a lemon side sauce, both delicious. We shared a Cesar salad and requested the romaine be chopped. The salad was fresh, crisp and the dressing was complimentary. The bourbon Salmon was cooked perfectly and served with a corn succotash. My husband had seafood risotto. It was chock full of fresh shell fish and flavorful broth, risotto cooked to perfection. My dessert was an Expresso martini with Baileys. We will definitely be frequenting this Freehold gem.

The Borough finally smartened up and relaxed the paid Parking rules, so we decided to take advantage of it and go to the Standard, which we always enjoyed, but unfortunately boycotted because of the parking. It's the Principle of it!

Service was exceptionally slow. It took us an hour and a half to get our entree. To be fair the meals clearly had not been sitting under a heater so the kitchen was the problem and not the server. Food was fine but prob a little overpriced.

My wife and I went to the American Hotel The Standard restaurant to celebrate Valentine's Day. We were seated promptly although the tables were a little tight. Our food server Sofia was very attentive throughout our entire meal. My wife and I started our dinner with an appetizer, Artichoke Fritters which was delicious. Our entrees were the same, 14 oz NY Strip Steaks medium rare. The steaks were prepared as requested and were delicious. We finished our meal with a delicious freshly prepared Apple Pie with Vanilla Ice Cream. We had a wonderful time and will be back.

We just ordered Burgers, but they were delicious. Our servers were very attentive. All four of us had specific requests for our burgers, and everything came out as requested. Restaurant has been very tastefully renovated.

Overall experience was really nice. Drinks were great. Food choices exceptional. Service warmed quite nicely. Lobby bar carried over a bit but not impactful. Would definitely go back if in the area.

I had my 40th birthday here on Friday night, didn't realize they do last call at at 1045pm!! I had 14 people there to have drinks and at 11pm we all had to find a new place to go. Really disappointing and the bartender said since covid they never stay open late, wish I knew that!!
