Smithville Bakery Reviews
I ordered a sheet cake for my daughter‘s bridal shower, which I had at Fred & Ethel‘s Tavern. The cake was beautiful and delicious.
The guests could not believe how perfectly it matched the theme. Thank you for your attention to detail!!! 💜
My first visit to New Jersey and this was the first stop. Had a great breakfast and our waitress Joy was awesome!
Had a nice lunch at Smithville Inn. Thought I would take home some bakery items from the Bakery. The cookie was so hard I couldn't bite into to. Threw it against the wall and it stayed in one piece, totally stale. The peach donut and cranberry muffin were definitely underbaked. Could not eat those either. Very disappointed.

Smithville Bakery is a cozy and welcoming place known for its delicious baked goods and friendly service. Visitors enjoy a variety of breakfast options, including a regular American breakfast and Irish breakfast, along with a bakery section offering donuts, cookies, and turnovers that are all pretty good. The breakfast sandwich and home fries are especially praised for their taste, while Cailee’s pleasant attitude helps create a comfortable atmosphere for first-time guests. The bakery’s treats, like the beignet—described as the best doughnut ever—are soft, moist, and sweet, with powdered sugar adding to the enjoyment. Their desserts, such as lemon cheesecake, are rich and smooth. The bakery also excels at custom cakes; a sheet cake for a bridal shower and a graduation cake received high praise for their beautiful appearance, fresh flavor, and attention to detail. Overall, Smithville Bakery is a warm, friendly spot with great food perfect for breakfast, bakery treats, and special celebrations.
