The Hive Bar & Bistro

Dope spot good food and drinks but went to watch sports a couple times and was a little disappointed. Big TVs at the bar but the went for size and not quality. That Walmart special was kind of hard to watch. Didn’t help that they have it set to Cool (blue) so it goes with the blue lit décor of the bar, but definitely come back for the DJ though.

Please do NOT come here to watch UFC PPV fights. This is strictly a loud music club that will keep the TV sound on mute because the DJ is playing music. Their security staff randomly charges men cover charges as we have seen other guys getting in for free. We can read between the lines. To make this review more balanced , they did have decent wings and drinks.

Happy hour was great! The drinks were perfect and the food was good. Really enjoyed the green tea shots and our waiter was attentive and good vibes.

I went here this past Friday, I have to say the drinks were good but what threw it off was when I ordered a drink that was $13 and paid $20 cash for it and was given $3 back. I was sober when I paid for this drink and upset that the bartender took it upon himself to tip himself out of my change that he gave back to me. This concerns me because I just wonder about all the actually drunk people who have paid cash for their drinks and have gotten significantly less money back without even noticing. Do better.

Pictures speak for themselves as far as the food goes. I had an arugula salad with steak and my friend had the cheesy beef tacos. The service is excellent, I recommend the watermelon lemon drop drink.

Fake accusations made from The owners. I’m an influencer who has done many collaborations with restaurants in New Jersey and sadly back in January in their sister restaurant, and my team was disrespected by one of the staff. The bartender cursed us out. For no reason. Usually when I do Collab , my cameraman goes behind the bar to film. And for some weird reason, the Bartender was not having it that day and cursed him out. I explained the situation and thought everything was OK, Sadly, it wasn’t four months later I tried doing a collaboration with their second restaurant, and they change the story and everything we all know the truth, ladies and gentlemen that this had something to do with the color of my skin and it’s so sad because if you know me personally and where me and my family come from this disrespect shouldn’t have been brought onto me. I don’t recommend this to anybody.

Wouldn’t recommend this spot on the weekend, they over charge and the bartenders are rude. Also they reserve spots at the bar so it’s almost impossible to get a drink once they get busy, due to the really cramped space. Really not worth it’s for a busy night like Friday or Saturday.

A place that my friends are excited to travel an hour to, and also a place that local friends dine weekly. Wonderful staff, vibes, music, energy, and of course food. Whether it’s just you, a large party, or a private party, the experience is just as amazing. :)
