Alonso’s is my go to spot whenever I’m in Garwood! The staff is super friendly the coffee and pastries are always great and the Teddy Graham matcha is unbeatable!

Quaint, friendly neighborhood cafe in the burbs. Tried it out after landing in EWR, fam lived nearby. But the Flat Whites were a miss. Done factory style. Not crafted with care nor the right texture and the beans were soso. In a couple of the cups the pour was short of milk so they just foam more and refill it to the top then immediately cover it. Ruins “the art of the pour”. May as well go to a Starbucks at that point. WYKYK. Would give this one a pass.

I’ve tried their matcha, cold brew,and lattes- everything has been so good! everyone who works here is so friendly!! 100x better than starbucks. my only “complaint” is the breakfast burrito is so tiny for $9 and there’s not a lot of filling. i either skip food altogether when i come here or i get one of their scones

Alonso’s has the BEST shaken Espresso I have ever had! I’m not sure if it’s the Espresso or the homemade syrups but there is something that sets them apart from other coffee shops! I don’t even want to try new places because I constantly compare to Alonso’s🤣

I don’t usually run to write reviews but I just started going here about 5 days ago and I haven’t been able to skip a single day without their coffee. It’s that good. Get the tiramisu latte- best latte I’ve ever had in NJ. I ask for a little extra sweet. I also tried the banana bread latte and that was amazing too. I am so happy to have found this place just a short walk from me 😍
