Everything was great! Sat outside which has a beautiful rooftop to cover with bad weather. Service was on point.

The staff was friendly and attentive, and the interior decor was actually really nice—clean, welcoming, and well put together. You walk in thinking, “Okay, this might be legit.”

And then the food shows up. I ordered the chicken parm panini—because apparently that's a thing now—and it was one of the most flavorless meals I've had in recent memory. The chicken was juicy, which gave me hope… but then the flavor just never showed up. It was like eating a blank canvas.

The marinara wasn’t watery, I’ll give them that—but it also wasn’t anything. No richness, no tang, no seasoning. It just kind of… existed. They could’ve labeled it “Red Sauce #2” and I wouldn’t have blinked. Slapping it between bread and grilling it didn’t turn it into a real meal—it turned a classic comfort dish into a warm, pressed letdown.

Honestly, I’ve had frozen Encore meals with more flavor and more heart. This felt like a rushed idea that never got finished.

It’s a shame too, because the place has potential. The service was great, the vibe was solid, but the food? It needs serious help. If they put as much effort into seasoning as they did into the decor, this place could be amazing. Right now though? It’s all style, no flavor.

The special “housemade” sangria was very watered down didn’t taste sweet at all, and the food wasn’t as amazing as I expected for the atmosphere. We loved our server she was amazing, and kind but we definitely won’t be back next time we visit South Jersey.

First time there. I had never heard of the place. I give it five stars for everything We had Michael as our waiter, and he was very professional and pleasant. Definitely returning. 👍

Food was over priced for the quality. I ordered from here a year ago & was disappointed because the dish is ordered included things I was unable to eat & wasnt the description on the menu. Was giving another chance, but im done now. You lost my business.

This place actually has pretty decent food, but what ruined it for us was the employee. There was an older man who was at the front, if he was the owner or manager then that’s a shame because he did not greet us, he looked like he didn’t even want to seat us. It left a bad taste in our mouth. Which is a shame because again, the food was pretty good. It’s true when they say first impressions can ruin it for everyone.

My family and I dined here recently after not visiting for several years, and we were very pleasantly surprised as to the high quality of food and service we had! Our server Austin was very helpful in navigating the menu, and he was also great to chat with in general. We will definitely try make this a more frequent spot for some reasonably priced good eats in a comfortable atmosphere going forwards.

EVERYTHING about Italian Affair is Excellent! We have tried numerous dishes but nothing tops the crab cakes... Best food ever!!!!
