Good food. Friendly people. Hours could be better. I think a bagel place opening up at 8 AM as opposed to 6 or 7 AM is kind of weird, especially being so close to New York City and on a bus route.
Park Avenue Bagels is the real deal. The owner is a Bronx native, and you can tell right away—super friendly, welcoming, and takes pride in what he’s doing.
But the best part? The bagels taste like true NYC bagels. Great texture, proper chew, and full of flavor—exactly what you expect when you think of a classic New York bagel. Hard to find that outside the city, but they nailed it here.

This is my second time coming to Park Avenue, and the food was really good both times. The first time I had a bagel with lox, and this time I had a bacon, egg, and cheese—both were so good. You can definitely tell the bagels are fresh.
