The chicken Tikka masala sauce was very watery. And I compared this to NY restaurants and it is minimum $4 for any main course you get more expensive than NY one.

I just dined here for dinner and I have to say it was a very bad experience with pretty bad food. I eat out a lot and have tried plenty of Indian restaurants in NJ. I always like to give people the benefit of the doubt but I cannot give any benefit in this case. It was an empty restaurant and my husband and I were the only ones dining in it. The waiter we had couldn't speak English or understand what we were saying and when he called the manager or other waiter or I don't even know what, he came to take our order but walked away before my husband could even finish giving his full order/asking questions. The food was pretty bad, the spinach chaat was just fried batter, the papri chaat had massive chunks of onions and potatoes and barely and papri. I ordered a mango lassi which basically came out as flavored yogurt, it was not drinkable. My husband asked for mango chutney on the side, which is on the menu, and they said they don't have it. Then he asked for plain yogurt, which they said they also don't have, but makes no sense because they're making lassi and raita, but somehow have no yogurt? Then the mains came out, I'm giving this a 1 star because the naans were good, but the food was not. My lamb rogan Josh was horrible with chunks of onions and the toughest lamb, not tender at all, it was like eating rubber. My husband got Palak paneer and it was thick with again, chunks of onions. Onions are fine in Indian food, but they are meant to be diced, this just seemed lazy. I just stopped eating because it wasn't even worth it to me. Then we asked for the check and when it was brought, my husband asked the waiter if there was Apple Pay, to which the non English speaking waiter said yes, so my husband got up to go to the register to pay and the other guy said oh sorry it's not working right now. So my husband proceeded to pay with a card and then walked back to the table waiting for the bill so he could sign. Instead, the guy at the register signaled for my husband to come back to the register, rather than bringing the check over to him. And this is meant to be a proper dining place, not some fast casual spot. Overall, extremely disappointed in the food and service. For a place that was completely empty, they could have done so much better. Would not recommend to anyone.

Amazing food we ordered Butter chicken, was delicious and generous portions, the Curry shrimp was flavorful and authentic taste. Highly recommend.

Vegan and vegetarian options are plentiful here! I absolutely loved the cauliflower appetizer- so amazing, flavorful, crunchy. I also really love the vegetable samosas. The aloo gobi is a great filling vegetarian option. The double tadka dal lasooni was on the lighter side and could use a little more flavor but very healthy and good vegan option. Palaak with chickpeas is also a good vegetarian option! Onion and garlic naan are both amazing! Food here is definitely one of the best Indian spots I've tried in the area!

First time ordering and I enjoyed my meal. I got the samosas appetizer which were nice. You get 3 for $10 plus a sauce & the mint chutney was very nice. My main entrée was chicken tikka masala. The flavors in the sauce needed a little more time to blend and the chicken was a little tough. It was good but it would have benefitted from simmering longer. For dessert I got the Ras Malai which I enjoyed but the portion was very small for 5.95. Overall a nice meal but I was a little disappointed because after reading the reviews and looking at the prices my expectation was higher then what was received.

Elegant place...been there a few different times ....always hoping it will improve in accommodation, attitude, and authticinity in certain dishes. Improvements on these 3 A's from the very average C where it is at would make the place more welcoming.

Hot and Sour was overwhelming with soya sauce and sour taste, No visible vegetables or chicken. Mutton Biryani was not spicy but no flavor at all. Had 6 full cardimons and 2 cloves. Will not order again!

Amazing tandoor, mutton chops and butter chicken are the best!Their butter chicken reminds of the one that I had in Delhi and the ambiance is very impressive and the owner has kept the standard of the food very high, I highly recommend Art of Spice to anyone who wants to have authentic Indian food!

We got a delivery from here and were very pleased. Was is the best Indian food ever? No, but good enough that we will absolutely order again. We really liked that there are so many vegetarian, vegan and gluten free items on the menu as we have an assortment of eaters here. In particular, the veggie samosas and Hara bhara kabob appetizers were great. The mixed Tandoori sampler, which included chicken, was also tasty. I recommend the rosemary naan bread too. We'll try some different dishes next time.

I've only ordered from here but the tandoori chicken is so flavorful and so is the daal with the house spices. The samosas are also soooo well seasoned

This was my favorite Indian restaurant up until tonight. Oil everywhere for the chicken tikka masala. They also changed the rice container to a much smaller portion but didn't lower the price. I'm good **20 minutes later after posting** My stomach is in shambles.

My husband and I ordered the Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka Masala, with samosas and garlic naan for takeout. The food was very good. A bit pricey for the area, but when you step inside the restaurant, you understand why. I think the dine in experience would be better than takeout so I'm hoping to stop by soon.

Good and bad experience twice now. Butter chicken was good, but watery. Samosas are good.Don’t order seekh Kabab, they shortchange on the portion for the cost$ wo for 6 small pieces, ridiculous.
