AURA Mediterranean Bar & Grill

Not surprised this place is shutting down honestly. The service was not great. Waited an hour to get seated with a reservation and the food was overpriced. Only thing was good was the drinks.

I came here on Friday November, 8 late evening, and sat at the bar hoping for a good drink and meal. I ordered a drink off the cocktail menu and my bartender Lauren made it incorrectly. I asked if it could be remade and she made it. She looked like she was on drugs since she wasn’t able to communicate and correspond what was going on. Not once did she check up on the drink or food. Once the food came, she didn’t provide utensils or anything. I had to get up to get myself the utensils off the dining table and napkins from the bar. Another consumers came in at 10PM and she shared the bar was closed, so she was socially profiling them, which is very unfortunate.

I just moved to the neighborhood expecting to find a great bar and lounge to go too, and unfortunately, I would never be coming back.

A girl treated us very poorly, she had gone before and they had nicer guys but this weekend they treated us very poorly

I was super hungery and they gave my food to someone else and it took an hour to get 3 sliders. They didn't even offer to not charge me.

Restaurant is pretty much needed in hackensack! Entertainment is in consistent. Sometimes an event then no one there. Wish they would get a following and get their website up properly so could understand the venues.

I recently dined at Aura Restaurant Bar and Grill, and I must say, it was a wonderful experience! This gorgeous restaurant offers a tantalizing mix of Italian, Mediterranean, and Latin cuisine that truly caters to a variety of tastes.

Our lovely server/bartender, Lauren greeted us promptly and helped us begin our evening with cocktails, and I opted for the Dragon's Aura, a crafted tequila cocktail that packed a bit of spice and featured delicious dragonfruit, all beautifully complemented by a black lava sea salt rim. My mom chose the Summer Passion, made with Tito’s Vodka, passionfruit,
lime, mango and club soda, a perfect summer
drink. For her second round, she tried the Lavender Haze, another Tito’s vodka drink, showcasing lovely blueberry and lavender notes. All three drinks were refreshing and set the tone for the meal ahead. I opted for a glass of cabernet with my meal.

For starters, we couldn't resist the fennel pork meatballs, which were absolutely delicious, especially with the herbed ricotta sauce. The white wine mussels were super fresh and garlicky—just the way I love them! We also indulged in the crostini trio, which offered a perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors, making it an ideal appetizer.

For our main course, we shared the linguine and clams. This dish was nothing short of stunning, with a perfect portion size, fresh ingredients, and a delicious parmesan garlic arugula cream sauce that left us wanting more.

To top off our meal, we enjoyed a sweet treat: flan topped with blackberries for dessert. It was the perfect finish to an already wonderful dining experience.

Beyond the food and drinks, the atmosphere at Aura is unique and lively, making it perfect for a date night, a girl’s night out, or any celebration. Chef Ceballos took the time to check on all the guests and introduce herself, which truly reflects the care and dedication that goes into the restaurant.

I’ll definitely be returning to Aura! If you’re looking for a great spot for your next evening out, I highly recommend giving this place a shot!

We had our engagement party here and it was amazing! The restaurant is beautiful, the food was delicious, the drinks were amazing, the servers were great, and the music was amazing. Thank you so much Aura and everyone that helped make the night perfect!

AURA was fantastic! I can't wait to try it again!!
The service was truly excellent - a welcoming hostess and personable, friendly and attentive staff - and they made us feel very welcome.
The food was out of this world! For appetizers and salads, I could have tried every one of them. The Herbed Polenta Cakes were so tasty surrounded by an interesting and delicious corn melee which incorporates morsels of crunch, and the Burrata & Prosciutto Salad was a wonderfully unique combination of flavors (see photo). The Seafood Risotto and Gnocchi & Crab (see photo) were beautifully plated and incredibly flavorful.
The wines by the glass offered were great - we had the Rioja and Bordeaux - served in modern high-quality stemware.
Plus, the Saturday night music is super fun, spun by a cool DJ, giving the place a lively fresh vibe!
With a birthday party at the table in the front window, we noted that it is a great, festive place for a birthday or a dinner get-together, with some larger tables and a raised platform area in the back.
The parking was easy with street spots in the front and a parking lot behind the building, accessible via the restaurant's back door.
Overall, AURA was a huge hit! There aren't that many times when a place is impressive on all fronts, but AURA was!!

Aura offers an exceptional dining experience! The cuisine is exquisite, balancing flavors perfectly. Attentive staff, elegant atmosphere, and our server Evelyn provided impeccable service make it a must-visit. Highly recommended!

Service was amazing and all the staff were very friendly. I’m especially happy with the incredible service from Nadine, Danny and Kevon . I will most def be back again for another great night of good music and vibes. Highly recommend.
