When in Hackensack and craving Thai, this spot is worth the visit. Dishes are fresh, we ordered the calamari, pad Thai w shrimp, Panang w chicken, drunken noodles w beef and mango sticky rice for dessert. Yum another authentic Thai place for Asian comfort food. So good.
This place is my new Thai spot. Food is delicious and portions are great. Take away option was good and hopefully I can eat there sometime.

The lady on the phone was super rude. She kept saying that the lunch menu on their website was old HOWEVER she would not tell me what's on their updated menu. She asked me to tell her what I want instead but every time I said something she said it was not on their lunch menu. AND SHE HANG UP MY CALL!!

Delicious Thai food. Fresh, full of flavour and very reasonably priced. Would recommend to anyone in the area looking for great Thai. Just because careful of #5 spice level.

I've had many different dishes here over the years, and have yet to be disappointed. I like the atmosphere, too, and the staff are very nice and attentive.

The papaya salad was delicious, and it was spicier than I expected, so I think spicy level 1 would be better. Curry noodles (spicy 7), fish with spicy sauce (spicy 5) were really delicious. The pineapple fried rice was so so so.

Second time coming here and food is great. I tried the Siam noodle dish and I really liked it. Someone else got the crispy pork belly and I’m definitely going to get that the next visit.
Vegetarian options: Most dishes can be had vegetarian and there is a separate vegetarian section.
Parking: There is a municipal parking lot behind restaurant and metered street parking in front. Sometimes traffic gets busy in front.
Kid-friendliness: Plenty of seating for kids. Just not sure if kids will enjoy the cuisine if they’ve never had it. Depends on your kid’s sense of adventure to try new things. No separate kids menu but you could always get basic fried rice.
Wheelchair accessibility: First floor entry. Easy access and door is wide enough.

My partner and I haven’t been to this establishment in many years, and a friend came into town and wanted Thai food, so we recommended Bangkok Garden, located on Main Street in Hackensack, for dinner. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the staff and got a table without reservations as it was early. Don't let the empty tables fool you. Within 45 minutes, most tables were filled. Their interior was enhanced by traditional Thai pictures, wall arts, and decor. The menu was extensive, and we decided on the Thai tempura as a starter to be shared. The batter was light, not greasy, and the shrimp were flavorful. For our main meal, we opted for the Pad King( sautéed with fresh sliced ginger, onion, mushroom, scallion, and red bell pepper), Pad Ma-Moung (sautéed cashew nut, celery, onion, mushroom, and house special red sauce), Honor To The King (boneless breast of chicken marinated in egg and chef's special herb & spice, pan-fried to golden brown, served with sweet & spicy sauce and curry rice), and Pad See Ew with Tofu. You can specify how hot one wants on a scale of 1 to 10. We have never been disappointed with our selections, as they were tasty, well seasoned, fresh, and delicious. The portions were just right, as was the price. The staff were very polite, attentive, and provided quick service. One of the best authentic Thai restaurants in the area, which we continue to recommend.

The lady who served my food was super nice at the restaurant. But the food was not that great. It's salty, and the ingredients weren't fresh. I keep comparing to other places I have been, and I'm really questioning the high reviews people wrote here.. is this a joke? I get that this location isn't great in NJ, but high expectations toward the food was my big mistake.
