This is my second time playing here. For 2 bowling games, 2 beers, onion rings, mozzarella sticks, a beef burger, and some arcade games we paid $85.50, almost 43 dollars per person which is ok. Food was expensive but the bowling and arcade games are reasonably prices. Staff were helpful and the restroom was clean!

We planned a party of 12
with food and drinks and had a great time. The people that work there were great.

11-29-2025... Rented Lanes 38-39 at 3:30 P.M. for (2) hours.
I went to Bowler City with my family to bowl for some fun, with the intent to also conveniently eat there. There were (10) of us! I ordered an incredibly tasty burger, mozzarella sticks and regular fries. When I went to pick up my order, to my total disbelief, my entire tray of food fell all over the floor, as I was attempting to put ketchup on my burger and fries. OMG... ketchup all over me. Embarrassing, to say the least. What was amazing to me is that Joe Kashaway, Daniel Cruz and this very kind waitress reacted like nothing had happened. They instantly cleaned up the mess I created without and negative word, and told me... without me even saying a word or asking, that they are making my entire order again, without costing me anything. Say what? I thought. You've got to know that this food was not only really good, but what great service and incredibly nice people!

We were looking for a fun spot to take the whole family the day after Thanksgiving and weren’t sure what would even be open—but Bowler City in Hackensack turned out to be the perfect choice! We had such a wonderful time together and made so many great memories.

The whole experience felt warm and welcoming. The staff was friendly, the place was clean, and the people around us were all in such good spirits. Yes, the bowling shoes were a bit worn, and the scoreboard had a tiny glitch, but honestly, none of that mattered. We were laughing, joking, competing, and just enjoying being together—and that made the day a perfect ten.

If you're looking for something close to home where you can simply relax and have fun with your family, Bowler City is an excellent pick. We didn't eat there as we were still having Thanksgiving leftovers, but the place has a restaurant, bar, arcades, and party rooms. And for the record… I came in second place, and I’m not even a bowler! 😊🎳

The customer service is pretty horrible. The people at the front desk have bad attitudes and love taking their times helping the next person. The male workers also love to help the women first, and it's easy to see just how much they eye them up and down whenever they're turned away. They're truly disgustingly behaved people. Other than that, the lanes themselves at Bowler City have always been good. Just good luck getting lanes with the people at the front desk. There's also the added benefit of having a pro shop, that'll be the only reason I ever come back to this place.

We were there Thursday. I spoke to Cruz numerous times to make sure everything was set for us. The snack bar was not open like we were told it would be. The woman who finally came in to open said she had no idea of the agreement we had with anyone, but assured us everything would be ready to go in about 20 minutes. True to her word everything was ready to go. Her and the young man helping her did an incredible job. Both of them saved face, otherwise this would be a really bad review. Seems there's a lack of communication between managers. Do better.

Decent lanes, food available.

Very good bowling facility. 50 lanes, good staff, snack bar, bar, pro shop. Pro shop was open even on weekday afternoon. The lanes were in good shape.

Used to be a regular but quite disappointed with their service recently. The workers are great just the owner assigning me to the kids lane where there are no manners, no taking turns and crossing other lanes but no managing from the front desk. I had multiple time stopping with my bowling ball just to stop a collision with the student next lane less then a foot who entered my approach. My wrist is in uncomfortableness. Even though there are tons more lanes vacant. The only reason why i come in between 2-4 is to avoid the league and crowded people to focus on what i do here and relieve stress after work but if this is what they treat the customer who doesn’t join the league but really in bowling? no more reasons to come. Just gaining stress after leaving here today. Making me think they discriminate non league bowlers

I truely ask you to really take care of the bowlers who really wants to bowl.

My friend and I, and our five kids, waited at least 20 minutes for someone to check us in. The shoes are the same shoes I rented as a kid in the 90s. For the cost, you should expect something more updated. The scoring boards are also the same from the 90s. I guess, if it works, why change it?! But the cost is absurd. Also, if you get a Groupon, just tell them you bought it a week ago because you can’t use it the same day (or within 12 hours).
