This is the second time ordering the Cake Mix ice cream from here and it tastes awful. Used to be delicious. I don’t know what the deal is but deserve our money back at this point.

Excellent customer service! I am a home baker who sadly doesnt have a edible image printer so I reached out to Carvel. They were able to help me in a timely matter and the print came out perfect. Will be going to them moving forward

I usually like Carvel, but during my visit I noticed a hair in one of the ice cream containers. I didn’t get that flavor, but it was concerning and made me question the cleanliness. I hope the staff pays closer attention to hygiene in the future.

I have more than 10 years being a customer to this Carvel location on S Summit Ave, Hackensack. Today 11/02/25 was not a good visit. I alway buy the same strawberry ice cream on a cup and a coconut on a waffle cone. A salesgirl I believe her name is Ivelise, was very disrespectful, I had to return my ice cream because it was too icy and the strawberry tasted funny. I asked for a refund, she did not stop talking back, stating she has been working for 3 years and that is how the strawberry ice cream is. I replied I was born before you and are you are very rude and disrespectful. The other co-workers were silent and respectful as always very polite. I have never had an encounter so bad at Carvel, great ice cream, I would still buy at the same place but refuse to be served by the young Miss Ivelse, because Respect is a fundamental principal of good customer service, and it is crucial to remain professional and polite, (don't talk back) and listen. I travel from Passaic County to Carvel at Bergen County........... Maintain good customer service because it matters to us the consumers...............................

As always, this Carvel location is always my go to. Their staff is phenomenal, honestly the best out of all carvels I’ve gone to. I only order cakes from this location because their decorator is always on point when it comes to designing. My son loved his cake and so did everyone else. I’ve learned to just give a theme to the decorator because they always do an amazing job and I have come to trust and appreciate their creativity. And while the Icecream is delicious, this post is to mainly reflect the greatness of the staff and especially the decorators.

We ordered a small ice cream cake that serves 4 through DoorDash tonight. The options were pink, blue and no writing. We chose no writing so we could add our own. The cake we received said Happy Fathers Day… nice to know their selling cakes from last June. It’s also not what we ordered.
Customer service is horrible. Employees look annoyed to be working at a job they chose to work at! Ice cream is too sweet and give a mess.

The ice cream was good but I had hair in it. The worker was wearing her hair in a messy bun about to fall out with pjs on. She was also on her phone the whole time and she was not wearing gloves. Her hand touched the ice cream when she was putting it in the cup. The store is very dirty.
