Lovely place in a diverse and beautiful part of Hackensack. More importantly the food is always reliable, quality and affordable for the area. If you like Med food you won't regret it.

This restaurant serve tender meats made it in the grill, perfectly seasoned, they called kebah, I ordered the mixed grill for one person, they also have for 2 persons, i recommend the turkish coffee, the pocion is small in a small cup, but that's the way it should be, is bold and perfect, for my wife I ordered the chicken kebah, she enjoyed, she is saying she will come back to eat again, i also ordered a mixed grill to go fir my son and my daughter, the tables are elegant and clean.

My first and only encounter with El Turco was a delivery meal and we had few complaints. Everything was well-packaged and tasted restaurant-fresh.
The baba ghanoush is everything I love in a good eggplant dip and a definite win in our book - seasoned, textured, and slightly smokey. We intuited this would be delicious when ordering by getting two containers of it, and this turned out to be a great life choice.
Chicken adana is a fan favorite in our house, and it's done pretty well here. They're like elongated loaves of marinated and spiced ground chicken, and delicious with rice and a dollop of yogurt sauce. We preferred these over the chicken kebab, which were flavorful but quite a bit drier.
Both entrees were served with a grilled tomato and pepper, which were still warm and slightly charred from the grill. They also came with small side salads, with lightly dressed and slightly wilted greens. My husband appreciated the extra veggies with our meal, but I far preferred the warm and soft pita rounds.

The only thing i’m giving 2 stars for is that the main meal was really good; however, the attitude of the waitress was not it, the girl did not smile once and never asked once how everything was, not welcoming at all. The salad we ordered had no lemon and the ayran had no salt, very bland. We wanted burgers but they didn’t have any for the day for some reason even though their menu is already very simple with not a lot of options. Also, that should’ve been something to mention when we first sat down but again the waitress was not friendly. It seemed she got annoyed bc we asked for salt and pepper shaker which should be on every table in the first place. The main meals took FOREVER even though the restaurant was practically empty.

Absolutely amazing experience! I recently visited this Turkish restaurant and was genuinely impressed. The food was authentic, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I ordered the mixed grill, and every bite from the lamb to the chicken was juicy and perfectly seasoned. The fresh-baked bread were a perfect start, and the kunefe for dessert was the best I’ve had in a long time—crispy, sweet, and not overly heavy.
The ambiance was warm and welcoming, with traditional décor that made the experience feel even more special. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive without being overbearing.
If you’re looking for a spot that offers delicious, authentic Turkish cuisine with great service and atmosphere, this is the place to go. Highly recommended!

A hidden gem I stumbled upon by chance—this place is the complete opposite of fast food. The restaurant is spotless, and the food is fresh, high-quality, and delicately seasoned, evoking the warmth of a home-cooked meal. Portions are generous for the price, and the service was genuinely excellent. If you're looking for a healthy, comforting alternative to fast food, I highly recommend it. It has never happened to me that I forget to take pictures but I was so hungry and the food came out so fast that I just dug on it. The Menemen (eggs with veggies) were amazing, the mix appetizer were refreshing and flat breads were super soft and fresh. Very very clean place and atmosphere is just right for a great meal.
