“This place has insane falafels! Their pita is fresh and tahini and red sauce are homemade and delish! Their portions are generous and today they were handing out a free sample falafel. Of course, you get your food and eat it across the street by the fountain in front of an office building but that added to the charm too. A couple of suggestions: keep pouring ice over your drinks to keep them cold and more Kerry’s in your salad and less onions. Thanks .“

“I visited New York for 6 days from the state of Texas and ended up having two meals at this location because the food was just that good. In a city where you have to be the best to survive, we chose to eat here for two meals! The flavors and consistency of quality and service were great. Can't say enough good things about this place! The waitresses are always a pleasure to deal with. They assist me well when I ask for all my extras and meal modifications. The chef ?‍? in the back is on point. Parking: Paid street parking can be a bit full sometimes, causing me to circle once or twice. I typically never have to walk more than a half a block.“

“Love the falafels from this place. They have so many toppings to choose. You can get a platter or gyro with either lamb, chicken beef or falafel. I only get the falafels but they are banging. Then you can pick lettuce, tomato, onions, peppers, olives, pickles, and/or chickpeas. It's delicious 😋 I only took off one start for atmosphere because their tv is so loud lol always a turn off for me. Cheers“

“Everything was really, really, really good, and fresh, especially the salad, meats cooked to order, the falafel. We also loved the hummus, babaganoush, and fluffy pita. Service was super friendly and accommodating to a ton of small special requests. Not sure why they gave us some flat store bought pita with our order and some delicious, fluffy, and fresh made (maybe they were running out?), but overall a really delightful surprise.“

“Benjy was very kind, and straight to the point. The place is chalov yisroel, and the pizza was surprisingly delicious. The store is a bit outdated but in my opinion is reminiscent of the old pizza shops we went to as kids in a cozy kind of way. Benjy, keep being you.

2. The ambiance was crafted in a significantly casual yet comfortable fashion. You feel good as soon as you take a seat. They are also constructed for a high capacity crowd.

Both the chicken and beef shawarma were cooked to perfection, with the right amount of juiciness and charred flavor. Even the bread was great. “The falafel here is superb! It’s light and crispy with a full flavor. I usually order the falafel platter that comes with red quinoa, hummus, pickles, Israeli salad and cabbage. It also comes with pita but I’m GF so I opt out. They also have Dr. Brown’s sodas which is the icing on the cake! The owner and staff and friendly and want to make sure you have the best falafel in town! Highly recommend!

“We were visiting the area and were drawn here by the amazing smells. So many different choices of slices were available. My daughter chose cheese and a pasta topped slice. I chose ricotta/spinach and a mushroom. This place makes the best pizza we’ve ever had!“

“These street carts were peppered all over NYC. Am unsure why certain carts have longer queues than the rest even though they were all from the same franchise. Nothing much to comment on the taste. I didn't like the mess on the plate which was heavily slathered in white sauce. Reasonably priced. Portions are huge.“

“One of the best places to get a good, healthy, hearty meal for the low.

This is one of the few line places that actually honors an extra meat portion. I don’t know if any other place in Newark that you can get basically a meal for two under $14. Disclaimer, I eat a lot.

“I have been going to this location since they opened a few years ago, I was there this weekend with my son & we both had the combo plates. I got a email the next day saying for me to come in for a free side which happens all the time. So I went in & asked for the free side but instead of a hummus side can he switch it to a baba gannouj side. The man said he was the manager & would not let me change? When I asked him why & told him for years I never had this problem. He told me that's why he is the manager & the people who let me have the change were all fired for breaking the rules. And should never had done this. I have been going to your stores since 1972 when I went to your store on Macdougal street & had falafel for the first time in my life. Still good food but after all the years but this manager enjoyed his power much to much!“
