BE AWARE....... THE FOOD SHOWN ON THE UBER EATS MENU IS NOT ACCURATE. I ORDERED TWO CHICKEN PLATTERS,...THE MENU SHOWED FOUR SKEWERS ON THE CHICKEN PLATTER. WHEN IT ARRIVED.... ONLY TWO!!!! THIS IS THEFT, FALSE ADVERTISEMENT AND A COMPLETE SIN TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE ABSOLUTELY ZERO RECOURSE. THEY LACK ACCOUNTABILITY AND HONOR. THEY WERE NOT INTERESTED AT ALL IN POSITIVELY ADDRESSING THE ISSUE!! I WONDER HOW MANY OTHER PEOPLE HAVE BEEN ROBBED BY GREEK ISLAND ON 77 MAIN STREET IN HACKENSACK. PIRATES!!! be aware....... the food shown on the uber eats menu is not accurate. i ordered two chicken platters,...the menu showed four skewers on the chicken platter. when it arrived.... only two!!!! this is theft, false advertisement and a complete sin to take advantage of people who have absolutely zero recourse. they lack accountability and honor. i wonder how many other people have been robbed by greek island on 77 main street in hackensack. pirates!!! not to mention a $65 expense!!

My go to. Recently moved to Lodi and I order on DoorDash here all the time. I've also been to the establishment and staff is very nice and restaurant is nice and cozy byob. Food is very good everything is fresh They have homemade desserts that are excellent deff recommend the baklava Try this place out. It's great and delicious

Absolutely fantastic experience at Greek Island Grill! From the moment I stepped in, ChrystalLee provided top-notch service, making sure I felt right at home. The Brozzini fish and Lamb Chops were divine, accompanied by flavorful lemon potatoes and seasoned rice. Even arriving close to closing time, I never felt rushed and was encouraged to enjoy my meal. The warm pita and humus were a delightful start, and the entire meal was freshly cooked and served piping hot. The $87.48 price for such a generous, delicious meal was more than worth it. I'd recommend this spot to anyone looking for authentic Greek cuisine paired with exceptional customer service. 5 stars all the way!

Wonderful Greek food in Hackensack. Gina is a wonderful host who takes care of her customers for the moment they walk in the door. This restaurant has a warm and inviting authentic Greek atmosphere that makes you feel like you’re having a yummy meal in the middle of Santorini. My food was made fresh hot and delicious. Staff is warm, inviting and attentive to customers needs. I’ll be back soon for lunch!
Cautious 3.5 but will probably give it one more chance if I run across a coupon. This review is based on takeout. Gyro sandwich was above average for takeout. Granted there are only a half dozen distributors of gyro rolls theirs was quite tasty and well sliced. Portions were ample. Calamari tasted average at best. Portion size was less than average. The breaded coating fell off half of the pieces. Tzatziki sauce was a fail. Watery. Commercial grade. Disappointing. Pork souvlaki was above average. One of the better options in our order. Spanakopita was almost home-made looking and tasting. I'll give it an above average. Octopus was average at best. Tasted good although more on the acidic side. A bit on the chewy side. Portion was quite small about enough for 1.5 people. Greek salad was average at best. Small portion. Spoiled by Taste of Greece as far as salads are concerned. Fries were pretty good and the serving size was adequate. Lightly dusted an fried. Maybe they had a bad night but I wouldn't go out of my way to order again without son incentive.

More of a 2.5 Star review.I had eaten here a few times pre-Covid. Food was good, prices fair. Was an ok place place for a quick fix for some good Greek food with fair prices.We all know prices have risen EVERYWHERE, this place included.We recently ordered a few items for delivery. We live approx 1 mile away so we are close enough that the food was hot.But the food has seriously gone downhill.The gyro and beef souvlaki on pita was skimpy on the meat. The beef was not of great quality. Lettuce was dried out and bland. Even the Tzatziki sauce was not up to par.The Greek salad was flavorless, even with the dressing. Lettuce, tomatoes, 3 olives, 1 tiny, tiny pepperoncini The Salata Ithaki made up of Tomato, Beets, Onions, Chickpeas, & Potatoes is a warm salad, but again very little flavor at all.My craving was not appeased. We're done here.
